Was Salahuddin (Rahimahullah) really an Ash'ari as some people claim?

    Sincere question.
If following Aḥmad makes me a 'Wahhābī', then I declare that I am one.

I don't think you understood what I said.

In the past it was mostly shias that were hated but now for those people this has become boring, so they moved to asharis. Hence, asharis are like the new "shias."

Thats incorrect since shia are not ahl sunnah at all so we cannot compare the 2, asharis we can still try to educate them

Or maybe I was just curious to know more about him (rahimahullah).

All ashari and maturidi of today may be closer to the truth or some deviant sufis claim to be ashari maturidi nowadays which was also refuted by both imam ashari and maturidi

Each person cant be blankly said they are deviant or good as soon as they say they are ashari or maturidi
