    A mix of the big compound lifts and other free weight and cable exercises. Not too much calesthenics, tbh (weighted dips, and chins, pull-ups and hanging leg/knee raises). I don't think I could do too many of those other calesthenics exercises. It's incredible what they can do, MaashaaAallah.

    Similar to what I'm currently doing then

    Calisthenics akh imo is far harder than weight lifting, and way more demotivating lol. I used to do it for a while but it's just exhausting subhan'Allah

    I had an off day with weighted push ups. I tried to push myself but couldn't and fell at a weird angle. Since then I've stopped doing push ups lool.

    br @mazuiz ? Not sure what kind of head you have!

    ...Sit-ups should have you sitting close to upright. Crunches should have only your shoulder blades off the ground but your lower back still on it... It's sort of a half sit-up. I'm guessing you're probably avoiding using YouTube and other video sites because of uncovered people so I'll just post these pictures instead...

    a crunch you just tense the abs to lift your shoulder blades off the floor basically. this activates more of the ab muscle of your six pack. think if you want to pose them off in a mirror, you tense them and lean forward a bit to get a maximum contraction.

    but if you do a sit up it should start with a crunch anyway then pull up a bit further than you would do with a crunch. crunches work the whole rectus abdominus muscles but with emphasis on the uper part so you need to add a lower ab exercise like reverse crunches which work the lower part to a greater degree.

    situps if done with no crunch to get started work mainly your illiopias muscle iirc.

    Ah I see. I'll do both reverse and normal crunches then. (Also, now I know what rectus abdominus, and illopias muscles are)

    Nothing really bro. What you're doing sounds perfect, i.e. building up slowly is the key. Also, some good padded footwear might help avoid shinsplints, or skip on a thinly padded service if possible. Maybe on a yoga mat.

    Br @oshirowanen - did you add the shoulder presses to your routine as br Poster suggested? (How have you found them?)

    Alhamdulillah bro, the last few sessions have been amazing. The elbow issue is slowly healing alhamdulillah but for now I'm just avoiding any exercises that could make it worse. I've switched flat bench to incline for example because the range of motion for the former is an issue.

    What about you bro, how's it going?
