    Once Upon A Thread 2015

    As salamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu
my dear respected brothers and sisters
i just wanted to know how is it marrying a niqabi wife, can someone share their marriage experiences please (positive things only)
when you slowly get into the deen before you want a really beautiful wife, who necessarily doesn't cover then over time you want a hijabi then over time you want a hijabi with abaya and comes a point where you can not see yourself with anyone besides a niqabi, i have reached that point alhamdulilah. there is something special about niqabi sisters that is very admiring, how they carry themselves etc.. we are all sinners i know, despite us having long thick beards or wearing the niqab. i just want to know people who are married to niqabi, how their life is and also sisters who wear the niqab full time can share their experiences also, in what they look for in a man. jazakAllah khair for your time brothers and sisters. please keep it positive and write keeping in mind Allah swt is watching you and you will have to answer for what you say.

who says niqabis are not just as beautiful as the ones who put it all on show?
and they are women like other women, they expect what any woman would in a husband

I don't think sisters who wear niqab are all that different to everyone else. Maybe you'll have to accompany her in certain areas if it's not safe and you'll have to eat at restaurants with private seating, but that's about all I can think of right now.

    Wa Alaykumussalam
I think I understand what you mean, because you're the brother that became closer to the Deen right, and I guess you just wanna know because it is in a way quite a big decision to wear a Niqab, so more like about people's experiences of wearing it, and all. As I remember on the forum we were discussing this the other day, and I was curious and wanted to know more too. In terms of what they look for in a man, I think it's exactly the same as any Muslim female would want, so religion and good character, compatibility.

please forgive me if i misworded it i was saying that first when a man gets into the deen he still desires a pretty face and a nice body but over time all these things fade and i do not doubt the fact that niqabi sisters are beautiful outside as much as they are within. again forgive me for the confusion.. but i am more interested in her piety as long as there is a little bit of physical attraction she doesnt have to be a super gorgeous model , i am more into how she will upbring our kids and how she will treat her husband... sorry once again forgive me

being a niqabi doesnt make us all one in the same. so i being a niqabi cant tell you how other ones will act. so like your question of say "how she will upbring our kids and how she will treat her husband" that will be based solely on the woman you meet and marry i cant tell you how she will be cuz i have a different personlaity then another niqabi.

    sea wat im saying?

now for me being a niqabi if i had a daughter inshallah one day hehe i would have her in niqab too when she got older n iwould teach her at home cuz no public skool for her no way!. as for my husband id only talk n look at him no other guys out on the streets or anywhere in public. but i cant say for another niqabi tho

i see nothing wrong with this thread?
You think you know more than my scholar's qiyās? He was more learned than you and all other scholars combined. Yeah, the devil was the greatest scholar too and look where his qiyās of fire being better than tīn got him. Sorry.

You follow your scholar's qiyās, and I will follow the Qur'ān and Sunnah.

I guess it goes like this:

Character and deen, isn't determined by the exterior, or what you wear. Similarily, a niqabi's personality differs from others.

Soo a niqabi, and another niqabi may be completely different character wise etc.

I'd say, it is commendable you want a niqabi, but now, you have to check her personality. Cuz whatever we say here, might contradict the one's personality you look at.

So, just do as you would with other occasions - like you did.

Don't judge a book by its cover, however I know, there is a huge difference in how you view someone.

    Allahu alam.

it depends on the woman n the level of how islamic she is.. some are n some arent, its really hard to say brother. you would have to meet her and ask how she is yourself honestly.

but covered up and i mean every one is different
but the pious ones have strong agenda
i still didnt get an answer that really satisfied me except from one brother.

Depends on the individual. Because everyone has different levels of deen, personalities, etc, so it really comes down to the individual Niqaabi. The difference we can see is she covers fully infront of non mahram, but in terms of her as a person and inwardly, she'll be individual like everyone is, and alike to other muslim females in many regards, i'd assume. they want similar things to everyone else in a spouse i'm sure, and piety and attraction in a Niqaabi aren't conflicting either, as suggested by the op.

for me since i am one i have a more need to follow islam im more protective cuz im a niqabi.

imagine if i was loud outside n talking to everyone or looking at guys and saying hi to them or watever or i let my daughter run around without proper covering like me. it would loook very odd imo,, so being a niqab it really makes one more aware of things n to follow islam closely and strictly i would say.

    Marrying A Niqabi?

Niqab doesn't equate to piety which I'm sure you know brother.

They make mistakes like any other muslimah.

May Allah grant you someone of your dreams. Remember not to get lured in by someone's outter attire, you never know what is inside of their heart unless you directly find out more about them. may Allah grant you a righteous spouse.

    Marrying A Niqabi?

It's nice to have a preference. Make sure you look into non - niqabis aswell so your choices aren't limited and because you may find an amazing non - Niqabi, maybe you can motivate them to wear niqab in Sha Allah khayr.

I'm a niqabi, what I want in a spouse is like any other muslimah. Someone who'd be a good father to my future children/help me raise righteous kids, someone with a high level of taqwa and last but not least - knowledge so he can teach me things which I may not know much of.

So no one really wants to marry someone who's not wearing a Niqaab?
Genuine question, I didn't know this.

There are brothers who don't mind marrying a non niqaabi. Otherwise how would non niqaabis get married lol.

some men want niqabi some men want niqabi and some men want nothing
i personally only want niqabi because it takes power to cover your face especially if shes gorgeous
everyone has their own likes i feel secure walking down the street with a niqabi

thought so lol good point, I was just thinking maybe a majority of the religious brothers would prefer a niqaabi, but you're right, it works both ways

in the summer time it gets so hot they can pass out
in the winter time they can have a cold yet they still dont give up
they hide their beauty that takes a lot of guts
they can't really enjoy eating out fully due to their covering
they are giving up so much for the sake of Allah
    i really appreciate that...
it goes vise versa for a man also
a man who grows a thick beard wears the sunnah clothing all the time with a turban
puts barriers between him and haram enviroments such as going to the club etc.
but that same man if he shaved and rocked a nice suit with a fresh hair cut
can easily slide into a club without feeling any embarassment

I dont mean it in a negative way, its like a woman would say "Who does not want to marry a rich man" but that doesnt mean she wont marry a average man in wealth......
“Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah ? Then will you not be reminded? And they say, “There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time.” And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming.” Quran 45:23-24
