yeh it looks abit girlish plus it painful - so i cant see any good reason to do it unless maybe you got the OP's problem of quick growing hair...still dont think its worth it tho

The threading machine is the best, because its so fast and easy. it threads each hair at a time and allows you to cover a large area without hassle.

I wonder if they know that it's impermissible. It's impermissible for ladies, too.

same sort of pain but a lot of hair coming out in one go lol

even though threading is painful, i like the fresh feeling it leaves once its finished, unlike shaving.

    mufti husain on sunniforum :
The Hanafi madhab does permit a man to pluck some hair from his eyebrows, as long as it doesn't create an impression of effeminacy. ie. it should not resemble females or those males who attempt to resemble females.

    وَلَا بَأْسَ بِأَخْذِ الْحَاجِبَيْنِ وَشَعْرِ وَجْهِهِ مَا لَمْ يُشْبِهْ الْمُخَنَّثَ

This ruling is mentioned in al-Madhmarat, at-Tatarkhaniyyah, al-Mujtabah, Hashiyah ibn Abidin etc.

Also, a man is permitted to remove hair from any part of his body, except the beard, which has to be kept a fist-length.

    And Allah Ta'ala knows best

We really shouldn't jump to these types of conclusions. There are some people who are born with excessive excess hair.

Are you kidding me? To do realize i am referring to those pretty boys who shape their eyebrows better than most females these days! And they do exist(scarily enough). I mean the females who shape their eyebrows, cos muslimahs are not allowed.

I dont think the machine is any gud, and tweezers take ages plus you don't get a neat line hence the barbers thread is the best option.

Is it even permissible for men to thread? doesn't threading eventually destroy the hair growth in that area?

To be fair, I think PakiBaz had a serious point. Alot of men have issues with excess hair such as mono-brows which can be embarrassing and so I don't think there is any harm in removing such hair. But I do agree with you about the men who shape their eyebrows which is frankly disturbing! :s

but how do you ask your barber to thread for you? I'd find it a bit odd. Better just doing it yourself to keep the beard nice and neat on the cheeks or getting your wife to do it for you.

The process of threading has not be forbidden, unless someone can prove otherwise...

This is incorrect, the rule is that:

    1) All actions/thoughts require evidence.

    2) Things are halal unless someone can prove them to be haram. It only applies to things, and not actions.

The most basic rule however is that in origin everything comes from islam. Islam created the two rules I have shown you above =)

What are you talking about mate~? If your going to start to talk about processes, then please do so with reference to classical texts of fiqh.

Processes/actions and objects are not catagorised to things which hold different principles. Please bring evidence for your claim that, it is only objects which are Halal by default according to the principle , Everything is halal untill proven Haram., the actual ruling of Halal, Haram,Makruh,Mubah,Sunnah, are based upon products and Actions/Processes without differentiation in relation to the principle you've quoted.

I have never heard this from any of the people of knowledge teaching Fiqh nor from the books. Not that I have covered or read many.

As for your claim one, all actions/thoughts require evidence, itself dictates that you are not allowed to do something ever, unless there is evidence to suggest it is permissible, which results in everything being haram untill proven halal which is contradictory to the basic principle explained above. Its actually very very ill logical and ignorant/dumb/stupid.

have you studied usool Fiqh or Fiqh itself from a qualified teacher, through classical texts?

and be careful for what you attribute to islam out of ignorance.
