    Remarkable Reciters...

    Hope everyone is well inshAllah.

I thought it would be good to start a thread whereby people can post snippets/videos of reciters that they particularly like, instead of everyone making there own threads. All can be put into here inshAllah mods if this can be made as a sticky, would be great.

    I'll start:

At the moment, I cannot stop listening to this...

Khalid al Jaleel-One of my all time favorites

    Re: Remarkable Reciters...

@ Hiking the fifth one you posted with the man crying mashaAllah I always love listening to that recitation.

I love this recitation by Kamal Uddin (I think I have posted this I don't remember.)

This brother recites three different styles mashaAllah:

The Prophet (saw) said, Verily, the knots of Islam will be undone one by one. Whenever one knot is lost, then the people grabbed onto the one which came after it. The first of these knots will be ruling and the last will be the salah.[1]

The author of Sitoon as-Sultaniyah says about this Hadith: “It was the Prophet who tied together the knots of Islam, including the uppermost knot of ruling after he established the Islamic state…As mentioned by Imam Mawardi the leadership has been proscribed as the succession of the Prophet in protecting the deen and governing the societal affairs. In this respect – Imam Baidawi mentioned that the Imama/Khalifah is the succession from the Prophet in the establishment of the laws of the Shari’ah. So without the Imam the laws lie unapplied and the territory is not protected effectively. The hadith indicates that it is the uppermost knot that keeps the subsequent knots safe from being untied. This is since it is the ruler that is responsible to apply Islam in its entirety, to implement the limits proscribed by Allah and to protect the society. Imam Ahmed mentioned without an Imam (for the Muslims as their leader) there would be fitna, and the destruction of the symbols of Islam ending with the Prayer is a great fitna.[2]

You lot have to check this guy out , I think he is a 'new kid on the block' or is he known. I've just come across him and have been listening to his different qira'at.

As you'll notice he is imitating sheikh mishary al afasy there but he has different styles.

yeah alhamdulilah we have similiaraties in that we follow a similiar melody, my Qalafalat(endings) are how shall i put it more incline to something between shaykh Kalbani and Shaykh Hudaifi style endings. Also the way i pattern my recitation can change to Maqam Ajam. all these are observations a Azhari shaykh made i currently read to but i have never studied maqamaat, i grew up listening to Husari who apparently reads in Maqam Nahawand so how did i end up with Ajam and Hijaz. My Shaykh blames the Maqam Ajam on the fact that my dad was Somali and he probably influenced me but he doesn't understand where i learned Maqam Hijaz.

Do you have any recordings online we can listen to? It's funny how you didn't realise all this till it was pointed out to you

MWarrior- I've heard him before, this one is my favourite of his...

    Sounds exactly like Mishary...

His last name suggest he is Bosnian. Maybe Serbian.

I don't read in hafs yet currently learning how to read in hafs (i read in Naafi and Abu amr) and my dad didn't like the idea that we record our voices as there are plenty of good recitors out there as he use to say. So i want to respect his wishes

Depends on how quick your internet is. Because of all the videos it will take a lot of bandwidth etc so might be a bit slow for some.

Naafi' is the the Qari both Warch and Qalun Relay their recitation from most Somalis nowadays read in hafs but still some small populations from the south still reads in douri án Abu Amr. The modern printing press has changed Somalia from 100% adoouri to 10% adouri and 90% hafs.

Either i don't way i am derailing the thread and its getting somewhat rude for other people who come on here to listen to good recitation inshalah
