    Sunan For Married Couples

Getting married is one of the great Sunnahs of Rasulullah (saw). However, it recently struck me that not just is it a sunnah in itself, but also that it opens up the door to many others as well. There are many other sunan which only married people can act on, and which single people are deprived of. Below are just a few of them.

May Allah ta’ala grant all married people, by virtue of acting on these things, a blissful, loving and lasting relationship; and may He make it easy for all of us singletons to get married, so that we can implement them as well.

(Note: don’t forget to read the ahadith at the end. That’s the most important part!)

    ~*~

    1) Greet her.

    2) Convey salams to her from others.

    3) Smile at her.

    4) Make dua for her.

    5) Honour her friends, even after her death. Send them food from a sacrifice.

    6) Eat from the same plate.

    7) Drink from the same place where she places her mouth, and eat from the same place where she places her mouth.

    Outstanding!

    for your efforts.
The Sahaba (radiAllahu anhum) used to cling to the Sunnah just because it was Sunnah
Today we abandon the Sunnah, just because it's Sunnah.

Ist it a sunnah to let your wife put itr on you as well?

If I recall correctly didnt Ummul Mu'mineen Aisha r.a put itr on Nabi before he entered into the state of Ihraam.

Do correct me if im mistaken.

Rasulullah would grab a piece of meat that 'Aisha (RA) had
eaten from and then eat from the same spot as she. He would also grab her cup,
after she had finished drinking from it, and turn the cup around, and place his lips
on the exact spots her lips touched.

It's not a comprehensive list so feel free to add to it. I'd be glad if people would, so long as they provide references.

I've not heard of that hadith before but if I have time I'll try and find it, in-sha Allah.

Didn't ummul mumineen Khadija r.a also climb mount hira or send her servants, whilst Nabi was in seclusion, just to check that husband was ok.

    for that hadeeth brother tmr.

I have a feeling you're going to regret making this thread !!

At first I did have that point included but when looking up the hadith, it appears that it is weak, so I took it out. Link.

Aisha (ra) says, "I brought harara to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), one day. Sauda was also there. I asked her to eat it too. For some reason she refused. I said, either you eat it or I will smear it on your face. She refused to eat, so I dipped my hand in the harara and smeared it all over her face.

When the prophet saw this he started to laugh. he pinned me down with his hands, and asked Sauda to smear my face with harara. She did that, and the Prophet started to laugh again."

Unhygenic lol people are too cautious these days. In the old days the whole family would eat from the same tray or even drink from the same pot, share the same glass and stuff. Now a days people say oh its unhygenic and they put a seed in your mind and it grows.

its a wonderful thread but ,if people stick serious and gain the blessings from Sunnah , rather making stupid non-sense claims create an era of jokes and showing dis-respect in this Islamic environment .

People usually know the answer but i think some black sheep troubling here and dont seems to be serious ...!

watever ..., but no need to fly in this thread and stick on the ground on ur Knees ( not feet ) and read and learn and silence and obey .

Note = Respected Brother , JazakAllah khair for this useless thread ,and May Lord Almighty rewards you for this . Your thread is well appreciable and wonderful ,but posting the Methods along Authentic Hadiths will ,make your thread more Beautiful and attention-gainer .

    Best Regards

Subhaan'Allah ! - I never knew this (if true). The dedication and love of Hadrat Khadijah (ra) for the Messenger (saaw) is beyond words.

'Nor say of anything,"I shall be sure to do so and so tomorrow" without adding, " if Allah (SWT) Wills" (18:23-24)

watever ..., but no need to fly in this thread and stick on the ground on ur Knees ( not feet ) and read and learn and silence and obey .

If everyone knew the status of a muslim women in islam, even men would want to be women." Sheikh Akram Nadawi

    Came across this:

    For people in polygynous marriage:

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wanted to go out on a journey, he would cast lots between his wives and the one whose name was drawn, he would take her with him.
    Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2454) and Muslim (2770).
Secure few moments, everyday, to reflect upon the innumerable blessings of Allah and thank Him for bestowing them upon you.

"A person who is blessed with the ability to be grateful, shall never be deprived of barakah and increase in blessings."

    28) Tell her that you love her.

(28): ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar related, “I was once sitting with the Prophet (saw) when a man came, greeted him, and then left. I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, indeed, I love this man.’ He asked, ‘Have you told him that?’ ‘No,’ I replied. He told me, ‘Then inform your brother of that.’ So I came to him, greeted him, took hold of his shoulder and said, ‘By Allah, indeed I certainly love you for the sake of Allah.’ He responded, ‘And indeed, I love you for the sake of Allah.’ I said, ‘If it hadn’t been that the Prophet (saw) commanded me to do that, I would not have done it.’” (Majma’ Zawa’id)
"And thus have We willed you to be a community of the middle way."
    (al-Baqarah: 143)

Allahumma innaa na'udhu bika min an nushrika bika shai-an na'lamuh; wa nastaghfiruka limaa laa na'lam.

    Re: Sunan For Married Couples

Here are some more sunan of our beloved Messnger pertaining to married life :

    1. Narrating stories to his wives

'A'isha radiyallahu anha reports, “Once, at night, Rasoolullah related an event to his family members. One of the ladies said, this story is just like the stories of Khuraafah. (The Arabs used the stories of Khuraafah as proverbs). Rasoolullah asked, “Do you know what is the original story of Khuraafah? Khuraafah was a man from the tribe of Banu Udhrah, whom the jinns took away. They kept him for some time, then left him among the people. He related to the people strange things of his stay there. The people were astonished. After that every amazing story is called Khuraafah. "

    (Tirmidhi)
    2. Listening intently to his wife's stories

'Aisha' radiyallahu anha narrated a detailed story about eleven ladies who were friends and how each one of them described her husband. The Prophet listned to her patiently, totally engrossed.

    (Hadith Ummi Zar’a - Bukhari )
    3. Demonstrating his Love & Loyalty to them

The Prophet told ‘A’isha in the long tradition of Um Zar'a : “I am in my love and loyalty to you just like Abu Zar’a and Um Zar’a. ‘A’isha replied: You are dearer to me more than my father and mother, you are even more loyal and loving than Abu Zar’a to Um Zara.

    (Bukhari)
    4. Helping them in the Household Duties

'A'isha radiyallahu anha was asked about what the Messenger of Allah used to do in his house, and she said, "He used to serve his family, then when the time for prayer came, he would go out to pray."

    (Bukhaari)
    5. Depending on himself to relieve them

‘A’isha radiyallahu anha was asked about the manners of the Prophet in his home. She replied: "He used to clean his clothes, milk his ewe and serve himself."

She also said he used to "sew his own clothes, mend his own shoes and do whatever other work men do in their homes."
