Multiple Hard Drive Enclosure IDE/Sata to eSata/USB or maybe Ethernet

    As Salaamu Alaikum,

I have 2 hard drives knocking about now that I've upgraded my primary drive to a Seagate Momentus XT and was wondering if it's possible to get a single enclosure that could house the both of them. One of them as an old IDE and the other a not so old Sata. Perhaps I could even have this enclosure connected via Ethernet to my Virgin Router.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the best solution would be? It would be nice to be able to add additional drives in future.

    Jazaak Allaahu Khair.

Yes, the NAS is more like what I was after. However do you know if there's one available that can handle 3.5 as well as 2.5 drives. Also one of my drives is the old IDE, the other is Sata.

Jazaak Allaahu Khair, I appreciate your help bro *smile*

Hmm... I guess the only solution would be to put it into an external caddy and connect it to NAS via USB.

To leave an old power hungry computer on 24/7. That's not a good idea surely. Is that what you meant? That would cost a lot, and kinda bad for the environment.
