Do you have a best friend?

Just wondering at what age, if ever, people stop having best friends. I don't mean your husband/wife/dog/cat but an actual best friend.

My pets are only about a year old. Sheesh, for seriously, he is a real person! We're best buds forever! He's the only person who knows my sekrits AND he is a major fan of my manga! Super Sekrit Team GO!

don't restrict what it means to have a best friend to having an only friend. For me, it's important that my husband and I are the best of friends after all, we spend more time with each other than most of our other friends. I want to enjoy and look forward to his coming home and our interactions together.. and I do both those things but not to the exclusion of all others.

Whether your spouse or your friend is your best friend.. it's essential you self care and don't become dependent on the other person/people in your life for your wellbeing. It is not fair to put that stress or pressure on someone else.

The command to us is that no one should be more important to us or loved more by us than Allah sWT and His Prophet, SAW yet we are told to have deep emotions in our interactions with others.. and if a husband or wife can't have the type of love, mutual compassion and kindness with each other that keeps them awake with wakefulness and fever when the other suffers.. I don't know who else would.
