Him going to pakistan to help the flood victims has nothing to do with his boxing. Just because a person does one wrong, doesn't mean he can't do any good whatsoever.

None of us are perfect ourselves and commit haraam actions everyday, yet we're still giving money to charities for the floods, or do you think we can't help others until we're at a perfect state of iman?

I'm sure there are thousands of people helping in Pakistan but you don't see they pictures of stories. The only reason this is posted is because he is a famous boxer. So how can you say you won't talking about boxing?

On a general note, there is a difference between sinning openly and persisting in your sin despite knowing/being told it is contrary to Islam, affecting others with your sin. Compared to sinning in private with regret and remorse, vowing not to commit that sin again. So you cannot compare or equate the first (major sin) to the second (minor).

But that does not mean the good of those people cannot be beneficial. It just makes things very difficult.

For those Muslims upon the straight path here and who detest and know the fitnah which movies like Bollywood causes and instills into the minds of its victims, remember Shah Rukh Khan was a major contributor towards this disease which swept through Pakistan faster than a woodworm in a damp forest. They would so anything to attempt to justify and cover his faults even though it is a well known fact that he is a Jahill person. Yet when a bomb explodes in some market place or a woman has acid thrown in her face, these very same people would be quick to condemn the mujahideen without a shred of evidence other than the flimsy articles in the Daily Mail that these people would lap up like hungry dogs without the slightest thought of verifying the source.

no there is a need for charity, of-course there is. I try to put something in my newsletter every week encouraging people to give to islamic charities, but that doesnt mean we ignore the larger picture of the state of the ummah which is why Allah has visited these disasters on us in the first place so emulating a fasiq like this man is hardly the right way of solving that problem.

Amir Khan is involved in what is many people say a haram sport, and he has no problem showing his awrah to the world. Some people may argue, that his money is no good for charity... The same way it is not right to gamble or to own a bar with the intention of giving all of your winnings/profits to the poor... Allahu 3lam. May Allah reward him for his good deeds.

I don't see anyone else attacking any other Muslim boxers? What about you guys who live in the United Kingdom, USA and get paid by non Muslims, eat here, drink here and even live here.

Akhi, I don't know if Allah Ta'ala has turned the brothers heart towards Islam or not, But bear in mind that Many Kuffar have done such deeds, as raising money and giving to the Poor, like Diana/Mother Teresa ... to no avail ... as their entire outlook on Life was Un-Islamic.
