Abdullah ibn Abi Talhah narrated from his father that the Messenger of Allahcame one day with evident signs of happiness on his face, and he said: “Jibreel came to me and said: "Would it not please you, Oh Muhammad, to know that no one among your ummah will send blessings upon you but I will send ten blessings upon him, and no one among your ummah will send salams upon you but I will send ten salams upon him.” (An-nasaai, Ahmad)
The Prophetalso said: "A miserly person is he who (when) heard my name being mentioned did not recite salawat in my favour. (Ahmad, Mishkat al-masabih)
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allahsaid: "May he be humiliated, the man in whose presence I am mentioned and he does not send Salawat upon me, may he be humiliated, the man who sees the month of Ramadan come and go, and he is not forgiven, may he be humiliated, the man whose parents live to old age and they do not cause him to be granted admittance to Paradise." (Tirmidhi)
