    Abdul Mohsin Al Qaasim

His recitation is distinct as he has a really deep voice and his Faatihah is very lovely to listen to.

Re: Who is your favourite recitor?

Commercial YouTube ones are Fahd Kanderi and his little brother.

Also voted the best Qadi in Manchester Abu Omar is very good too and is local talent. We have a Syrian who comes during Ramadhan and he makes everyone cry and is probably the best I have heard next to the Qadi I heard in Holland from Egypt. But you will not know these people, but they are all

And you forgot to mention Salmaan al-Utaybee.

All of the above are brilliant, those are the ones i've heard of so far, not sure about the others.

Meshary Rashid al Efasy is my favorite reciter. He has such a smooth, beautiful voice. And I like his pace when reciting the Qur'an.

Shaykh Mustapha Ismail (Alayhi Rahmah) - His style is unique - gives the impression as Qur'an is being revealed, and, he reads from his heart - so much love for the Holy Qur'an.

When I listen to the aforementioned, MashaAllah, words cannot describe hw wonderful every letter of the Qur'an recited sounds....
Mutarrif B. 'Abdillah: ''Oh Allaah, I seek forgiveness in you from that which I have repented and then returned back to, and I seek forgiveness in you from that which I rendered to you and then did not fulfil and I seek forgiveness in you from that which I alleged was for seeking your face but, my heart mixed with that which you know of me'' (حلية الأولياء)

How could you leave out Sheikh ad-damishqiah? He's by far my favorite even though I've never had the chance to pray behind him.

The Prophet (saw) said, Verily, the knots of Islam will be undone one by one. Whenever one knot is lost, then the people grabbed onto the one which came after it. The first of these knots will be ruling and the last will be the salah.[1]

The author of Sitoon as-Sultaniyah says about this Hadith: “It was the Prophet who tied together the knots of Islam, including the uppermost knot of ruling after he established the Islamic state…As mentioned by Imam Mawardi the leadership has been proscribed as the succession of the Prophet in protecting the deen and governing the societal affairs. In this respect – Imam Baidawi mentioned that the Imama/Khalifah is the succession from the Prophet in the establishment of the laws of the Shari’ah. So without the Imam the laws lie unapplied and the territory is not protected effectively. The hadith indicates that it is the uppermost knot that keeps the subsequent knots safe from being untied. This is since it is the ruler that is responsible to apply Islam in its entirety, to implement the limits proscribed by Allah and to protect the society. Imam Ahmed mentioned without an Imam (for the Muslims as their leader) there would be fitna, and the destruction of the symbols of Islam ending with the Prayer is a great fitna.[2]
