I am going crazy here. My Muslim neighbours have been banging their bollywood music since 12:00. It's now nearly 19:30 and all I can hear is "hey pump the jam, soni soni" or some rubbish and on top of that their is a poor child crying who's screams can be clearly heard.

What shall I do? Shall I go and thump them or something because the hadith goes remove something evil by your hands, then by your words and the lesser of faith is by the heart or something.

I do have a home cinema shall I blast the Qur'an really loud and through a 7.1 speaker system and give them a taste of their own medicine?

Best bet is to go next door, knock on their door and say, "Could you please turn down your music." If they're good people, then inshallah they'll turn it down or even off for you. If they don't, then contact the landlord (if you leave in an apartment).

They seem to have turned it off soon after I posted the Question Alhamdulillah. I live in a house not an appartment but these neighbours are b/wood fanatics. I'm just happy I can hear myself think now. I really had to restrain myself to taking drastic action as it's been going on all day.

why call the police when you can take the law into your own hands

Plus as Muslims I have to respect them regardless of their annoyances. I think because their Dad has gone Pakistan it's a case whilst the cats a way the mouse will play.

I only ever listen to the Qur'an, I just can't relate to any nasheed- I can't stand any music. It's funny because I really used to listen to music alot in my youth and had compilations that most people would dream for.

Everytime I go to london for a conference or meeting I have a hard time interpreting what they say. I always forget my "Interpret Dizzy Rascal to Plain English handbook at home". Must remember to bring it with me next time.

lol, the bold part is the first thing that came to my mind, but maybe try and speak to them about it first? It's so that they're leaving their baby to cry-they probably scare the poor thing with the noise, if they don't listen, maybe you could report them for noise pollution, as long as you know that they're not the type to retaliate or vanadlise your property. If they are, then blast your Quran

If you put really load Quran on, they might respect themselves, and turn theirs down-I think it may work. Give it a try
