Ummah Channel on Sky

A new Islamic TV service called Ummah Channel has begun testing on Sky Digital ahead of its official launch next month.

A spokesman from the Ummah Channel told viewers can expect, "It is a unique Islamic religious channel. Our mission will be to promote spirituality, humanity, morality and knowledge with Islam at the foundation of everything we do. Our aim is to enrich viewers' lives through free-to-air programmes which are not only educational and entertaining but also contributes towards individuals’ spiritual development."

The Ummah Channel is being backed by the same team as the recently launched Islamic educational radio station - ILM Radio, available on Sky channel 0161.

The Ummah Channel is aiming to launch on Sky Digital's EPG on Monday 10th August.


Visual tests can be tuned in by following the steps below:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> System Setup (4)
-> Add Channels (4)
-> Enter the frequency: 11.222 (H), FEC 2/3, Symbol Rate 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight "52004" service and press Yellow button.
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> "52004" should be listed and available

The channel is like hidden...follow the steps and youll get it otherwise itll be on main on the 10th anyway

Is it really an "islamic" channel like peacetv? or will there be music and non islamic advertising in between programs containing music, holiday destinations showing women in little clothing and so on?

we seem to all of a sudden drawing everyone's attention
