We stayed in Dar al-Eiman Grand Hotel (Previously called Eiman Inn and Dar as Salam) last month, and I would happily recommend it to anyone. Location is as described above, on Misyal street, the good thing is that it's just before the street narrows, so you avoid the bottleneck rush at salaat times that you get further down the street.
There are a number of good Pakistani/Indian restaurants nearby, such as the Faisalabad restaurant, and Bin Dawood supermarket isn't too far.
The rooms are spacious (perhaps because we got two quad rooms instead of two doubles), there was ample room for all our luggage, and chairs & coffee tables if guests come to visit you, dressing table and mirror, TV, and fridge. They also have electric kettles and cups in the rooms for you to make tea. There is no ceiling light, so the light in the rooms is a bit dim. In some hotels you can get two rooms with one external connecting door, unfortunately they don't have these, so women have to keep hijaab on a lot of the time to go from one room to the next.
The bathrooms were lovely, spacious, and clean, with built in clothes lines, hairdryers etc. One of the cleaners said to us was that all you need to do is turn up with your clothes and they can provide the rest!
Breakfast was good, mainly geared to the Arab taste, but also had cereal, scrambled eggs, rolls, tea etc. I particularly liked their doughnuts and cakes. You can't take food to your room, so if you need to, eg for an ill member of your party, you must ask reception who will tell the head waiter.
The staff were polite, helpful and friendly, the rooms were cleaned to a very good standard, and the cleaning was prompt and thorough. If you put your bin outside your room, it was emptied within an hour.
The only drawback being that when we were there, some days one of the lifts wasn't working but they did always call out engineers to solve it or some days it seemed to skip floors.
Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again and recommend to others.
