Imam Maulana Jalaludin Rumi (qs) was and is a legend!

anyone who speaks ill of the Imam, needs not be taken seriously.

As for the thread topic - not had the chance to listen extensively to the Shaykh, so unable to comment.

But yer, I'm not sure who this peer is, but my family watch a lot of Noor tv and once I was sitting there with them. And there was some sort of celebration going on, I think it was the anniversary of Noor tv! and the sisters were like "we thank Peer saab" "we congratulate peer saab" "peer saab is always in our duas"! so I guess they were talking about "Peer Siddiqui"!

Masnavi is a big book on the topic of Tasawwuf and love. The guy gives lecture on that book. The book is written by Jalaludin Rumi, a great scholar and it is written in persian

o okay, whats the actual defination of "Tasawwuf"? I know that the basic aim of tasawwuf is not simply zikr right?

    Re: Peer Siddiqui Saab..

An uncle of mine follows the peersiddiqui of noor tv, and whilst doing so, he has forsaken all the duties that Allah swt commanded him and all men to fulfill.
He doesnt contact his very very elderly parents often, maybe after about a year or 2 even, they're in Pakistan and he's here in uk.
He has lived his whole life here whilst his wife and children have spent a whole lifetime without him. Even now that his daughter is married and in the uk , he doesnt visit her or his grandchildren.
one of his sisters tried to contact this peer many times and he never answered so one day she decided to phone him direct on noor tv live and she asked him , that why dnt you tell our brother to fulfill the duties of a husband/son/brother/father and you know what peeer saab did, he cut her off without saying anything, so maybe now you understand why i hate so called peers like that one!!!!!

Oh and one other thing i've noticed, the few times i have watched him on noor tv, all he seems to do i take references from Rumi's writings rather than quoting Quran and hadith, i find that very strange
He is not at all humble and for those peer following, halwa eating bros here , who are forever saying tht men cannot do any wrong and women are always wrong (they know who they are!) why dont they ask peer saab, why he allows women wearing masses of make up to appear on his channel , why does he let them sing naaats ?? why does he let them praise him the way they do? isnt tht haram? isnt he a non mahram to them????

Anyway imho, 'peer saab' is dodgy, so dnt watch noor tv!!
