Empty Hands -

Both his hands were empty when they were removed from the shroud"

    kalame Iqbal

This transliteration is from Iqbal's poetry:

    Dhoondne waalaa sitaaronki guzargaahonkaa,

Jab saar men hawaaye taa'at thee, sar sabz shajar ummeed ka thaa,

Jab sar-sar 'isyaan chalne lageen, is pay-dne phalnaa chod diyaa,

This transliteration is from Iqbal's poetry:

Zindagi kuch aur shae hae, Ilm hai kuch aur shae,

Zindagi soze jigar hae, ilm hai soze dimaag,

Ilm me daulat bhi hai, qudrat bhi hai, lazzat bhi hai,

Ek mushkil hai ki haat aataa nahee apna suraag.

It's funny because most of the time it's true
O son of Adam, indeed you are only but a number of days. Whenever a day passes, a part you leaves with it.
