I'd assume so, you should always plan ahead, but remember that Allah knows best and if your plans don't work out there's always a reason for it.

Brother thats is different ... what ever happen it has some reasons behind it so every tihng happen for the best but that wasnt my question ....

according to islam is it halal to talk on you future life plans... with you fiance before marriage .... any refernece available in QURAN or hidaith ?

I'm not sure of reference from Quran or ahadith, but it's ok... like soemone mentioned to have someone present...because it is in the hadith that when there is a male and a female, the third person present is shaitaan/satan....this is in bukhari and muslim....So i guess this goes to explain that if he is NOT your mahram YET, then u should have your mother or father or brother...or anyone else present to keep it a safe environment. And they dont have to sit their and watch you two talk....but just be about...and you all can be precise in what u need to talk about....it shouldnt be in a flirtacious manner etc etc....
