View Full Version : We Must Contact Commission of Racial Equality
asalam alaikum everyone,
i was talking to someone about this veil issue going on and they said they were surprised the CRE hadnt got involved or spoke up.
I have written to them jus now via their website ,about why they havent spoken about jack's straws comments as it was blatant racial and prejudiced comments that incited further racial and prejudiced behaviour towards muslims and divided communities even further apart. etc etc
and i think we should all do this, as m any of us as possible, this is what CRE are about, yet they have sat back and closed their ears.
Jus click the "contact us" button on their website and write to them and ask them and tell them what are they going to about this etc and say what kinda damage it has done.
Also if u know of anyone who suffered due to his comments, i.e. further racial attacks or insults then tell them that as well.
wether they do something about it is up to them but we need to be doing something at least.

^ Iam not surprised at all Trevor Phillips is a first class panzie and has history of making stupid statments or comments that really do bring into question whether he is the right man for the CRE. Sometimes i think he just a plant there from the freemasons. Or a mouthpiece for popular white working class opinion.
i contacted the cre a few years ago for advice however i found that non ethnics were working at the cre--this just shows how stupid they really are and they are meant to understand issues relating to ethnics, i find this a bit strange. as for trevor philips and his friend salam rush-die well it only goes to say that that both are on the other side and not on ethnics as a whole--however, it would be nice if all the jewish women and nuns of england remove their wigs and nuns remove clothing as this is my personal view.
typed in a rush.............
well as its the commission of racial equality...they have to employ people of all backgrounds...inc white english people
i think we should still try, allah swt knows best.

it's not about hats or wigs, it's about covering up the face. a big proportion of communication is done with facial expressions which complement speech - changing meanings of words, showing irony, humour etc.
women are not told to cover their entire face in the qur'an! Allah(swt) gave us these facial expressions for a reason!!!

Jack Straw is only instigating the notion of Islamphobia in a discreet and subtle way so the white Guardian readers start to question their beliefs......God bless propaganda eh?
i hope inshallah people are writing to the CRE via their website takes a few minutes

Commision of Racial equality ? why ?
Do you wear the veil because of your race or because of your religion ?
Theres white muslims also.

i saw the "speech" by trevor philips, looks like someone isnt doing their job.
Cos all i saw was panderign to the govt:rolleyes:
What i asked the CRE in my contact with them was, would they standby the speech they gave in response to what jack straw said, if the people he had been talking about were BLACK?
i still await a response....yet more of the govts puppets put in place to make the public think they "care"

Like it or not, most people make a distinction between "race" and "religion". "Race" is understood as something in which you have no choice, like gender. "Religion", on the other hand, is understood as a matter of belief - in the order of political, philosophical and other types of belief. Religion, and the ways in which individuals choose to express or enact it, is seen as a matter of choice and, as such, as something that can be debated and criticised in ways that skin colour etc cannot. As a result, the CRE is very unlikely to take action where the issue is debating or even criticizing religious belief though it will take action where criticisms are expressed through violence or as direct incitements to violence. Jack Straw's comments don't come into those categories so the CRE won't take any action on this matter.
