With respect, the African guy mentioned a Hadith about 'keeping the beard and trimming the moustache'.

So how come he's not trimmed his 'tache ?

he has trimmed his tache... trimming doesnt mean u have to take it all the way down to the bottom nor does it mean u have to shave... it means to keep the hair away from the lip and from excessiveness over the cheeks etc...

How long does the beard have to be according to the ulema?

What are the different opinions on this? I know that according to the Hanafi madhab it has to be a minimum of fist length..(?!)

As far as i know it has to be a fist length minimum.

Let it grow man, we have to wear hijab and some choose to wear niqab and face sometimes prejudice ppl.. and men can't even let the beard grow long:rolleyes: ufff, I guess we are better..hehe

Yes i do have my ulema that i follow, they live in my town so i can't give their names.
