or just take it from them and you can pass it on to another non muslim friend of yours. Create the love.

Assalaamualaykum Akhee

This is a very serious problem that our youth are facing today.

To accept the sweets or not?

I advise you to speak to a local scholar.

And Allah knows best

MG I think you are because there is a hadith where rasoolallah :saw: was asked by a person who was given a gift of a silk cloak of some kind, and he said give it to a family member that was not muslim?
allahu alam...

If its haraam foodstuff, you arent allowed to give it to non muslims by thinking its okay, they eat it anyway. The reason is beacuse on the DOJ when everyone will be scrambling everywhere for good deeds and that, the non muslim who you gave the sweets to will say 'i didnt know, she gave it to me'.
Do you get it?

Theres this asian non-muslim guy in our area that usually stops me [actually stops anyone..especially kids] to give them sweets. Once I was at the bus stop..he came and gave me salam..i didnt knw whether to reply..so just sed wa'alaikum....then he took out handful of sweets and was like 'take'. I said..'no thank you'..and he carried on saying 'beti,...TAKE!' so I was like :$ so took one and he carried on pestering me to take more..so i did..then he was like 'you are good girl' and then he went. I never ate those sweets :o and i never let my younger sisters eat the sweets he gives them..simply because he is a total stranger..Allah knows what the sweets have in them or anything :|

Just ask if it has gelatine in it. If not, then problem solved (If you trust their answer). If yes or they don't know, bin the sweets.

On what basis?

if its our duty to not take in the forbidden stuff, and keep doing whats good, why would we give someone else something thats forbidden? We are meant to help make this world good, not give someone else that wine cause we cant drink it.
