I recently heard on Kuwait radio an uncommon style of Quran recitation... the most distinguishing feature of this recitation was breaks and pauses in unusual places in the verses. Also some words were pronounced in a different way...
for example kaafiroon was pronounced as kayfiroon
nasaara as nasaaray
taqwa as taqway
huda as huday
I'm not too sure but I think the name of the Qari is 'AbdulRasheed Sufi'.
