e. Support Hhugs. This is a charity set-up to support the families of prisoners who are struggling to make ends meet and who often have to raise numerous children single-handedly. You can also contribute towards the legal costs by following the steps in our various campaigns. Organise fund-raising activities to facilitate this. If you are in the UK, you can provide practical and emotional assistance to the former detainees and their families by volunteering to work with HHugs . If you are outside the UK, try to set up a similar initiative to provide support to those in your locality who have been affected in the same way. Contact them for more details.

c. Devote a study circle, Friday sermon or reminder spot for this issue. Record them and send them to us to upload. Email us for guidance on how to do this.

We are looking for individuals who are either native Arab speakers with at least A level/IB/pre-university level of English or those who have studied Arabic for at least one year full time, together with at least A level/IB/pre-university level of English. We require a high level of both Arabic and English since we sometimes require translation of poetry, anasheed and lectures that contain a high level of literary Arabic. If you think that you meet this criteria, please provide samples of previous translations and how much time you can dedicate. We are also looking for individuals who have translation skills in any of the other languages spoken by detainees in Guantanamo to support the work that the lawyers are doing.
