anybody tried it?

i was leeching... ~ahem~ i mean downloading linux 7.3 and half way through i noticed redhat 8.0 was out!! :mad:

1 cd downloaded... 4 to go :(

Try Slackware why u going for Redhat?

tried both, prefer redhat + more experience with redhat

not to mention redhat is more user friendly

Well I like the challange, Slackware is like a challenge to newbies to install it properly.

yeah... slackware was the first ever linux i installed too... it was definately a challenge! i was trying to install it for days!

but now redhat is as easy to install as windows... just did it in half an hour :)

A collegue of mine is trying RedHat 8.0 on a supercomputer.

Not sure if his experiences will be of any help to you!

I use RH7.3 on an IBM eserver Cluster that I manage - its a SMP 32-node box with 1GB/s interconnect :p
