Bukhatir's got a brilliant voice masha`Allah and I'm sure he loves his wifey like crazy.. But he really shouldn't be singing his love for her in public. That's what I think, anyway..

He should keep a beard :coolbro: (<--I just like the Beardy Man :inlove: )

I ve only heard it once, or twice I think. The words are just stuck in my head since I saw this thread. argggh

Nawar
19-09-06, 01:33 PM
Dont mess about sis Esperer, he didnt write it

Yeah I agree, I dont think its necessary to express personal love in public. What people sing or say privately is their own business, but since when were Islamic nasheeds about that.

The ones which praise Allah (swt) and Rasool (saw) are best for nasheeds.

-Espérer-
19-09-06, 01:34 PM
Yup Nawar. And no, he didn't write it. I'll tell you who did.. If I can find the album cover *-)

Jum'u@h
19-09-06, 01:43 PM
The brother (Bukhatir) was on Islam Channel and he was explaining why he done that nasheed Zawjati, I dont think it was anything personal he just said that he doesnt like the cultural way how people treat their wife, like a house maid etc, and he wanted to encourage a more Islamic and proper treatment insha'Allah, so Masha'ALlah I think d motive is good Allahu Alam whether it had any personal meaning tho...

Either way....LONG LIVE SINGING TO THE WIFE (IN PRIVATE) :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

I still don't think he should be singin, "you are my loooovvveeee you my wifeeyyyy" in public :p

I dont like the idea of singing to wife or anyone, its too bollywood inspired. WE should adopt the Sunnah way which is the only acceptable way and promote it.

Bollywood Inspired? , lol maybe for some,

But the Sunnah is to treat the wife kindly, and do things that make her happy right? So if singing to her makes her happy then theres clearly nothing contradicting the Sunnah, rather another way to put it into practice :)

Where did the idea of singing to girlfriend/wife come from?
certainly was not the practise of Prophet (saw). Thats the point.

Salaman what I think Jumu'ah means is that keeping your ife happy is a sunnah.. And for everyone, happiness comes in deifferent forms.. So for someones wife, singing to her may make her happy.. And so in a way the man is following the sunnah.. Because's he's keeping his wife happy by singing to her...?

No sis, following the sunnah means fulfillign it according to the sunnah.

Even though singing maybe permissable but its still something from the culture of the kuffar. So it cant be sunnah something permissable (mubah) yes.

becasue the Jahilli Arab used to sing to their women publicly. And this practise was never adopted by Prophet (saw) nor the Sahabah.

But it really goes to show how media can effect the minds of innocent Muslims, these nasheeds are now going to next level.

its permissable in origin however my disagreement was that it should not be categorised as Sunnah, as that would constitute as slandering the prophet (saw) who never sang to his wives nor did his sahbah. For example, it is permissable to go away on a holiday with your wife but we cant say its the sunnah because Prophet (saw) never went to other countries to spend quality time with his wives. However if a married couple want to race each other in a secluded place and one of them lets the other win, this can perfectly be called Sunnah as this is what Prophet (saw) did to make Sayeda Aeisha happy.

JazakAllahu Khair Akhi Salman, for your explanations, But I think youve taken it a little too deep lol, I disagree becoz, If you read about Marriage and means of pleasing the wife - We can do anything that pleases them as long as its Halal. Now the question is, Is singing to your Wife in private Halal? Well, Ive never seen anything that says otherwise if you have something please bring it forward.

I didnt attribute singing to the Wife to the Prophet PBUH, As far as I know there isnt such a recording...but what I did attribute to the Sunnah is Pleasing Ones wife, and treating them Kindly etc. Like -Espérer- said, not everyone is made happy with the same things. The general topic of Sunnah here is pleasing the wife and treating them kindly etc.

Now as youve mentioned, Prophet PBUH used to race Aysha RA in the desert, does that mean that the only way we are allowed to enjoy sports with our wife is by racing...in a desert? - I dont think so, What is being shown from what I have read is how the Prophet PBUH was cheerfull and playful with his wives and we should follow his example, racing isnt every sister and brothers cup of tea.

As for singing to the Wife being from Kuffar society, I completely disagree,The Kuffar do things that are both Halal and Haram, and they do certain things which can be done in a Halal way or a Haram way. Obviously singing to your girlfriend is Haram, coz the Girlfriend itself is Haram lol, but to say that singing to your wife is not recommended becoz its from the Kuffar society is like saying bringing flowers home for your wife is the same, its from the Kuffar society right?

So yeh, Long Live Singing to The Wife (Still- Until Properly Refuted) lool :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

its permissable in origin however my disagreement was that it should not be categorised as Sunnah,

But Akhi, I didnt categorise singing as Sunnah, I categorised the act of Pleasing ones wife and making her happy Sunnah, see the difference?

The truth is lol, im onli kidding I doubt many brothers sing to their wives and I prob wont too, unless she wants me to lol, juss jokin about - Dont worry im not gonna start a Singing to Your Wife movement amongst the Ummah.

I imagine a lot of men just buy a mobile phone so that when the wife starts her daily nagging, they can just use the excuse that they're setting their ringtones very loud to slyly screen out her deafening voice.

The "I-have-everything-except-the-love-of-my-life!" scenario is a regular occurence of life for mankind.
