PLEASE COMPLAIN

John ware has previously filmed a number of documentaries attacking any organisation that has dared to speak out against Israeli oppression. It would be of no great surprise if a documentary on MPACUK were in the pipeline. Yet watching this one hour of utter drivel simply highlights how desperate Mr Ware was to paint Muslims as nothing but extremists. You can watch the documentary by following
http://news.bbc.co.uk/nolavconsole/ifs_news/hi/newsid_4120000/newsid_4124500/bb_rm_4124514.stm if you haven't done so already.

In the documentary, John Ware attempts to show that Interpal, a famous and well known pro Palestinian charity is actually a key funder of terrorism and has strong links to Al Qaeda. He also went on to attack the entire Muslim Political discourse. However his failure to bring forward even an iota of proof to a clued up audience was all too evident, as we see below.

Documentary Highlights

Here are a few of the "highlights" of the documentary, key points in Mr Ware's hate propaganda, which we would advise you to make note of in your complaint.

1. Lack of Context

The documentary, naturally coming from a pro Israeli journalist lacked any context whatsoever. Unbelievably, the only point at which Mr Ware provided any context was when he mentioned why "some" Israeli soldiers use live munitions when dispersing Palestinian demonstrators. He provided no context for the Hamas ideology, i.e. the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory. He also jumped at the chance of painting every Palestinian child as a terrorist, when he entered a classroom and asked 10 year old boys who would want to be a fighter. Ask a leading question to a child and you will have your answer. However he at no points mentioned that many if not all of the children in the classroom may have lost their mother, father or other relative because of Israeli aggression.

Furthermore, a very rosy picture of Israeli interrogations was painted. A massive omission when you consider that Amnesty International and numerous other human rights organisations have reported the use of extreme torture by Israel during interrogations. Mr Ware obviously had no problem was this and was keen on accepting all "confessions" that were achieved as a result.

2. Bad Journalism

The level of journalism and the abuse of it was cringe worthy. Making the most spurious connections between an alleged meeting in Philidelphia and Interpal, Mr Ware says the meeting "had striking similarities" with the Interpal model. His entire manner of over dramatisation, using stereotypical references, sinister music and grainy photography was meant to convince an uninformed viewer of his biased and completely fabricated notions. At one point in the documentary he states that Interpal have their head quarters in "an anonymous location" in London. No doubt referring to the use of a PO BOX by the charity.

3. Objectivity

The entire program lacked any objective journalism. Coming from Mr Ware this is unsurprising, yet surely the BBC should act more responsibly before airing such nonsense. Most of the so called evidence to support his agenda was gained from Israeli/US sources. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that Israel and unfortunately the US are on one side of a conflict. To take the word of the Israelis over the word of a Palestinian is not only a lack of objectivity but a obvious sign of where your loyalties are. No pro Palestinian authority was interviewed during the whole program.

Mr Ware claims that Interpal were given a chance for an interview but declined. Our sources confirm that this was not the case and Interpal had in fact elected for an interview and Mr Ware refused to interview them. Surprise surprise, the role of Jewish charities in spreading hatred and racist policies was simply omitted. Balance is something that John Ware has no idea about.

4. Blatant Omissions

Mr Ware went out of his way to point out that two schools were using two flags that were used by Hamas. What he failed to mention, was what the flag meant and what they signify. The flags have the Shahada (http://www.religionfacts.com/islam/practices/shahada-faith.htm), the first pillar of Islam printed on them. The Arabic verse, when translated reads, There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger. It can and has been used be numerous Muslim organisations to identify themselves simply as Muslims. The Hamas emblem bears no resemblance to the flags that he was so desperate to highlight.

BBC's resident Islamophobe, also forget to mention that only a couple of months back, Interpal won a libel case on a similar matter. The Jewish Board of Deputies, in a humiliating turn around , apologised as part of an out of court settlement for calling Interpal a "terrorist organisation". This was after American intelligence was unable to substantiate any of its claims. An omission of this nature is intellectual thuggery and should not go unchallenged.

Summary

Over all the documentary was a surreal and spurious piece of journalism. Had a journalism student produced something of similar quality she would have no doubt failed her dissertation. Yet why on Earth have the BBC allowed this to be aired, and why do they continue to keep John Ware in their ranks. The melodramatic documentary was low on quality and substance, yet was a superb rendition of some late 80's spy movie, with the grainy photography and laughable musical score.
