software to take music out of mp3s? like just leave the voice or something

Not sure if this kind of thing is out there, but does ne1 have a program which can just take the instrument parts out of mp3s and leave the voice only so it sounds like acapella?
Cos maybe when u do recordings its made of different layers? so you could adjust the volume of the instruments layers to like zero and then leave the voice?
is it possible? plus i want to do this for FREE or if I have 2 pay 2 dl something like this, then quite cheap...
But please let me kno if its possible insha allah
