Salam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

I am considering moving overseas but have not decided on which country. Some important factors in choosing my destination are:

1. availability of jobs
2. economy
3. what the Muslims are like in the area (meaning are they good practicing Muslims or simply Muslims by name)
4. number of masajid in the area (there should be alot)
5. cost of everyday living (apartment, food, transportation, etc)

Please vote in the poll and add the reasons for your choice on the forum. I am mostly looking for answers from people who have been there, or at least know facts.

If a large number of people can provide an answer, it would be much appreciated and helpful. JazakAllah khair.

I've given a vote to Mauritania. I assume your able to speak French?

1. More details needed. What do you do? Doctors down are needed.

2. It has an economy. There are a few banks and some great looking banknotes the ougiya (no use anywhere except Mauri) Travelers checks are a giggle so forget that. Credit cards?, not to draw cash unless you know where to go. Huge aid program

3. These are the real thing.

4. Loads

5. It does not get much cheaper than this, but then it gets so expensive it's staggering. Up and down like a yoyo. Watch out...

You'll love it. It's the real deal.

You might be interested to know that Nigeria has the fastest-growing Christian community in the world. That is probably because of a high birth-rate and the zeal of Nigerian Christians in the face of Muslim incursions. Whatever the reason, its a fact.

Kuffartiere brings up a good point:
