Easy to use... Windows Movie Maker(Installed allready on Windows XP)
look in, start>All Programs>Windows Movie MAker - IF you cant see it.. search for it using the windows search tool!

ULead - Another free software available off teh net.. very easy use!

Professional software for the more experienced users - Adobe Premier Video Editing!

There's not very many decent freeware editing tools.

Here's a couple.

The following are shareware:

and http://www.snapfiles.com/get/videoedit.html (I've used this in the past - gets the job done.
