How can anyone who responds to this thread be boycotting U.S. goods. All PC's run on either AMD or Intel CPU's. Both U.S. companies. Or am I incorrect?
~Bub
An interesting question: What does "American goods" mean?
Many "American" corporations have only a limited legal presence in the United States. For tax reasons, their assets may be held by off-shore banks. Their products may be actually made in Mexico, China, Korea, Pakistan, or elsewhere.
Additionally, many "American" corporations are nowadays actually owned by enormous foreign-based entities.
Many "American" cars, by the way, are made with parts that come from outside the U.S.
I think that nowadays it's difficult to pinpoint what's precisely an "American" product and what isn't.

You're correct. But if its already bought, it doesn't matter, might as well use it.
Many Americans think about boycotting Muslim products. The problem is, the only "Muslim" product is oil. Sad isn't it?

Actually, I'm boycotting Italian goods. When I was young, my mother impressed two rules on me that have stood me in good stead: Never wipe with wet toilet paper and never buy anything made in Italy.

I hope you remember that France didn't only ban hijab but all religious symbols. Which means the Jewish skullcap and the crucifix for the christians. So stop twisting this to be an attack on only muslims when jews/christians and anyone else is affcted by this also.
And no i've not boycotted anything. Its not like a few million muslims boycotting them is going to hurt a country with an annual GDP of 11 Trillion dollars.

I am not currently boycotting any products from foreign countries...don't want to deny trade anywhere...
I do however, boycott certain businesses here in the US, companies like WalMart and Home Depot. They have every right under the laws in the US to operate the way they do...but put way to many small independent businesses out to pasture... just my opinion. I pay more to purchase from local businessman but that's a small sacrifice I make.
Also, quality matters. I like Japanese cars and TVs .... American motorcycles, stereo equipment and furniture...
I love everyone's food, beer and wine (especially the Italians and Germans). Cuban and Honduran cigars (screw the Cuban trade embargo!) English Stilton cheese...(sorry, can't be topped) Canadian beef (Alberta  )...Irish lamb... Portuguese sausage (and tiles)
Moroccan pottery and Egyptian jewelry boxes (wifey)
A bit off-topic but I find it much more interesting than the negativity of boycotts...it would be nice if anyone could add to the list of "quality" products from around the world...:)

I never boycotted and I never will.
Honest and innocent Americans don't have to suffer for the actions of a few who claim to be upholding most American values, but instead they really aren't.

"Each riyal, dirham …etc. used to buy their goods eventually becomes bullets to be fired at the hearts of brothers and children in Palestine. For this reason, it is an obligation not to help them (the enemies of Islam) by buying their goods. To buy their goods is to support tyranny, oppression and aggression."

I just buy anything I want. I tried blocking goods from Yemen, Iran, Iraq and Afgani stuff to name just a few, but the only thing these countries export seems to be drugs which is not my market.
Mud bricks, sand and dirt are not good export earners. Give me a shout when Apple Mac start a factory in Somalia I'll be happy to blacklist that. Khat import is maybe a matter you could spend your time sorting out a boycot of.

Americans thrive on drugs. You import it from southern America and the pot growing in every friendly kafirs greenhouse :)
15.9 million Americans ages 12 and older (7.1%) reported using an illicit drug in the month before the survey was conducted. More than 12% reported illicit drug use during the past year and 41.7% reported some use of an illicit drug at least once during their lifetimes.
-------------------
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse's 2002 Monitoring the Future Study, 53% of high school seniors reported using an illicit drug at least once in their lives, 41% within the past year, and 25.4% within the past month.http://www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov/publications/factsht/drugdata/index.html
Seem to having a good time importing all that oil, and gas from the east.
Western nations had nothing, centuries of colonisation of the east, drained it of its natural resources. slavery, genocide, all those diamonds stolen from africa and india. and even today it continues, u brain drain the east of its scientists.
The Corporation - documentary - is an excellent video on american goods.
The U.S. Commerce Department announced today that America's trade deficit in 2000 was the biggest in the history of the world. The difference between what Americans imported and exported last year should reach about $370 billion -- more than $100 billion larger than the previous record deficit set in 1999 and double the 1998 deficit.

Groceries? Ok...buy greek olives...
besides, I live in europe where the majority recognize the immoral nature of israel, and not that many companies here support israel.
Sources would be nice...I think you should check alot of european products off your list though...not just groceries
they're all jewish american corporations, usually the expensive stupid brand clothes.
surprisingly...not much of my clothing says "Made in Israel" or "Made in America"...I did buy a dry-fit Pebble Beach golf shirt recently that says "Made in Jordan" ...imagine my surprise...

Please tell me more about this Christian Peace Team...are they good people or are they trying to bribe the Palestinians into apostacy? Robertson to the right or Corrie to the left?

Homework? ...already graduated junior ... keep dodging my questions...
You said that you boycott products of Israel and those who support Israel...
I don't give a rat's a$$ about any polls! What products do you buy and from what countries? How effective is your boycott? Do you have a car and what kind? Do you have air conditioning?
Estee lauder and Ralph Lauren can kiss my pasty white Irish-American a$$...
educate me on your boycott ... if you don't have the balls, please ignore me...

I don't boycott cos I think it'll make any difference (i like to think im not that stupid :)) I boycott cos I know I'd feel guilty if I were in any way responsible for the death/oppression of my Muslim brothers/sisters around the world.
There are somethings which I "can't" go without so yes, I have an Intel processor.
I'm like Ignatius in my support for "the lil guy" so I avoid big brands and corporations like Nike etc and "Walmart" (slave labour) (my family shops from ASDA though...) and I'm a big supporter of FOSS anyway so theres nothing Micro$oft on my computer :D :D
I try to buy from Muslims as much as possible e.g. my first car has to be either a Proton Savvy or a Gen-2 :D :p
-Rashid
The only american products i have ever seen where i live are, red apples...and cola ... i have no clue what else the americans export...well except computers made in china. I always shop at the co-op cos theyre really careful about not testing their own brand products on animals, and they sell palestinian goods and do fair trade stuff so theyre making more of an effort than a lot of companies to support the opressed.
dont forget to boycott
denmark - cartoons
spain = war in iraq
france- headscafe controversy
germany- reprinted cartoons
america- war
australia- supporting americas wars
israel - for not bowing down to muslims that think only muslims are allowed to own conquered terroritory they steal from their victims
in fact ! boycott EVERY COUNTRY !
