Depends what you mean. We should not ignore weak ahadith but we should be aware of them and that's it.

Fatwas should NOT be drawn from Weak Ahadith.

Daliils should NOT be drawn from Weak Ahadith.

But some weak Ahadith state good qualities of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) which we are allowed to use in praise of him.

It comes in handy for the scholars of Ahadith, they can fish out more weak Ahadith just from one liar. But Alhamdullillah we got it all labelled and on a plate :inlove: When the non-muslims attack us with a weak hadith, then we need to know what a weak hadith is to know what a weak hadith is :p

actually there are loads of different types of 'weak' hadith and also loads of times when they can be used...

they can used when they are stating the blessings of a person or place or action we already know are blessed from other evidence... or when they are used in conjunction with other evidence and do not contradict that which we know definitavely to be truth....

the topic of hadith is huge dont think a simple straight forward yes or no will suffice... and no to option three

Who are we to say wether they are accepted or not!!!!! it is the job of the scholars to say what is accepted as a valid daleel (proof) in shariah and what is not. Not for any lay person of the street........anyway many ulama do say that daeef ahadeeth are accepted for fadh'ail (virtues) but not as a proof to establish a president in shariah...

Yep mms Roks!!!;)

there is a major difference between a weak hadeeth and a fabricated hadeeth. Some people hear "weak" hadeeth and reject it or utter profanities against it outright - this is very ignorant and also very dangerous. :asta:

thats shows a persons ignorance. Because if a weak hadeeth was the same as a fabricated hadeeth then there wudnt be two different technical terms wud there

People are like - weak hadeeth, must be false so lets cuss it. astaghfirullah

there is no room for personal opinions in this matter

the scholars already had their say

the weak hadiths should be ignored if it talk about aqeedah (faith) related issues

the weak hadiths should be ignored if it talk about ahkam (rulings and legalizations) related issues

it's ok to accept the weak hadiths in seerah, virtues and tafsir....it should be accepted carefully though.....and this only apply to the weak hadiths not the very weak hadiths

but ibn Taimmyah said that the weak hadiths should be ignored in all cases
