Help with Windows XP Themes

assalam alaykum

when I apply themese to my XP, it only changes the windows wallpaper, icons and some windows fonts. Whereas the task bar, screen saver, desktop, windows, the win startup logo etc all remain the same. But on the laptop when I apply the same theme it changes everything.

I want it to change everything according to the theme on the pc is well. What am i doing wrong?

what theme you using?

for all apple mac lovers who have a pc here is a mac theme for xp. Its THE best theme i have come across.

I got whole bunch of nice themes, tehy all work on laptop but not PC.

try

-right click "my computer"
-properties
-advanced
-Settings (under performance)
-visual effects tab

click/tick(?) the "adjust for best appearance"

then try changing themes

Also, check whether modifyin' the menu / taskbar is not disabled.
