if living long will be the khayr for me I would like to live so long (maybe till 100) İf I will be able to do things which bring me to jannah ;)
But if I see harm instead of khayr , Why I would like to live long ? :(
This is a bizzare question

lol.. I typed out the same thing then couldnt be bothered to post it..
It is very strange indeed..
We should not ponder over when we want to die because we might decieve ourselves thinking we have lots of time. But the reality is death can take us at anytime. We should thrive on this uncertainty and better ourselves consistently right??
We should treat every prayer like it is our last.. subhan'Allah.. thats how wary we should be of death..
But there is a duah concerning the time of death. I think it goes something like.. If life is better for me then let me live and if death is better for me then grant me death..
Exactly, subhanallah.
I wish to live the time of death appointed to me by Allah (swt). Allahu Alim.

Allahu Akbar!~~~(Allah is the Greatest) i'm scared of Death i dnt think i'd ever find the strength of praying that Dua........after all we Human Beings commit the smallest sins in our everyday lifes without us realising we are doing it..........how will we evr find the courage to face Allah in shame no dnt get me wrong i'm not talking abt big sins like stealing, drinking, zina, forcination etc but the smaller sins . I ask Allah that he makes us all gradually get closer to our Deen and for us to not have a Painful death ~Allahualam~

Why Is There Nothing Under 30?
Do you know what, I don't care when I die exactly, that's up to God.
M.F. is natural to be afraid of death- death is God's curse because of our sinfulness- if we were perfect there'd be no death.
Jesus/Isa said "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
John 11:25+26.
It's a profound statement: this might make it clearer: "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live [spiritually, in his soul], even though he dies[physically]; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die[spiritually]"
We're all going to die physically- our bodies will pack in due to old age, blowing ourselves up (I hope not!) or getting killed by someone.
We all deserve eternal, spiritual death in hell because we are sinners before a holy God.
But Jesus' purpose is to give us spiritual life, by faith in his death in our place, and his resurrection, so that on the last day we might be resurrected to spend eternity in heaven.
So death, I'm not sure what I'll make of it when it comes- we're all destined to die and face God's judgement. I'm trusting that God will judge me according to Christ's righteousness which gives me real hope because if He was judging me according to my own righteousness I would have no hope, none of us would.

That is why we say we will not enter jannah because of our good deeds, but by the mercy of Allah (swt).
i did 100 and above...
but that was only cos there is no 'in Allahs hands' i dont wanna estimate my deth!

MashAllah...i did the same thing as Ur-Yusra and Nawar...I wrote out a post and then couldn't be bothered to post it...
The point is not when you die...but how you have lived...
If i knew that living another hundred years I would fall into sin (Allah ta'ala forbid) and end up in the hell fire...
I would not want to live that long...
If I knew that dying this second would guarantee me jannah, then i wouldn't want to live a second longer...
Although...I would like to get married in this life and share my life with my wife and InshaAllah end up in Jannah with my wife...
(Asaghfirallah if this is a bad way of thinking)...but i can't help how i feel...
I want to do this for the sake of Allah ta'ala...But my heart also desires it very strongly...
May Allah ta'ala make this life easy for us as we are weak and find it hard.
May Allah ta'ala forgive us our sins and grant us jannah

> see my children (inshallah if i have children) to get married and settled with families
> see my grand children get married atleast
> fullfill my ultimate goal and aim of doing as much charity that will out live me
> to have my own international humanitarian aid organisation- a charity that will definitly inshallah outlive me

hmm interesting question. Did you know when you get to the age of 40, you have reach the age of wisdom. Also, when you reach age 60 (or 65), Allah stops accepting your forgiveness (how long will it take you to stop sinning?) also another hadith that if you live up to 80-90 i think then Allah calls prisoner on earth (meaning you have endured life on this earth like a prisoner endures prison). SO do you really wana live that long?
i would say long enough till Allah writes Jannah in my account. Personally i'd say long enough to join al-mahdi and Esa a.s. to fight against the al-dhajjal and the jahudi! :D

i don't want to be the last one to die among my friends and family members....and not the first one too please.......
also it is about the quality not the duration........
so now i voted 80....because 80 is more than 50 years from now.......and if the grandchilden of Akib posted this poll after 50 years where the grandchild of Sajid will be moderating this forum i will vote 130........this is a human nature
......and that is why the Mujahid is a great person who deserve great reward....because he say "take the love of this world for my love for Allah"..
anyway mods......if what i am suspecting is true and i am having early stages of Pneumothorax then please change my vote to 30-40 and don't wait for my confirmation because i will be so busy

If I Die As A Shaheed Then I Am Prepared To Die This Very Second.
MashAllah.....Dieing as a shaheed is not always on the battlefield. Sometimes we can do more good by being alive. God wants you to work through life and see how many people you can help and make a difference in their lives. That is dieing as a shaheed as well.

I Agree Partially With What You Have Said Akhi But Not With The Other Part.
The Part I Agree With Is Where you Said That "Dieing as a shaheed is not always on the battlefield" And This Is True According To The Hadith,
Allah's Messenger (peace_be_upon_him) said, "There are seven types of martyrdom apart from being killed in Allah's path. Those who die of plague, those who are drowned, those who die of pleurisy, those who die of an internal complaint, those who are burnt to death, those who are killed by a building falling on them, and women who die while pregnant, are martyrs."
Imam Malik, AbuDawud and Nasa'i transmitted it.

But I Want To Be Of The Ones Who Attain Shahadah On The Battlefield, For That Is Far Greater Then Anything Else And They Are Higher In Rank Then Those Mentioned In My Previous Post.
63, :inlove:
Old enough, but not give anyone any hardship looking after me.
InshaAllah
Asalam alaikum.
i remember reading somewhere that Abu Bakr (ra) said to long for death
