In the name of Allah...

World view means a universal interpretation of existence. Some who look at the world of existence, say: I am an oriented creature who is supported by a consciousness, based on an order which can be reckoned. This they call divine world view...

Some think that the world of exstence has neither preplan, nor a conscoius plan, nor a goal, nor can it be reckoned. This view is a material one. World view, then, is very interpretation or universal wiew which the human being has of the world of existence...

Choosing a world View: Thus there are two world views that one may have. The devine world view whereby we believe that the world of existence has a master, a reckoning, a design and an orientation or material world view whereby one believes that the world is without a master, without a plan and without an orientation and that it is moving toward non-existence. A human being must choose one of these two beliefs...

The sign of the best world view can be determined from the following: A world view that can be proven and intellectually reasoned;a view and interpretation which is in harmony with our primodial nature and natural creation; a world view has value which gives happiness, hope and responsiblity to the human being...

we can discover no divine purpose or providence for the human species. While there is much that we do not know, humans are responsible for what we are or will become. No deity will save us; we must save ourselves.

We are responsible human beings when we are under observation, questioned about our actions and when there is a reckoning, a book and an orientation in our lives. Thus only with a divine world view can we be responsible and committed human beings. But in the material world view the universe is without a preplan and over time took on its present form. All human beings are move toward non-existence and with death, are destroyed. The only goal is the welfare and having a good time and then being destroyed. With this way of thinking, we can say to ourselves, "Why should i exist? Why should i not commit suicide? If im going to be destroyed after years of struggle, why should i not end it sooner?" Yes, a meaningful existence can only be found with a devine world view..

The Futility of Pursuing Material Goods

Wealth is temporary and will perish - good deeds and the resulting rewards are eternal. Love of wealth is an unhealthy burden, whereas love for good deeds is healthy. Wealth can buy glasses, but not sight; wealth can buy books, but not knowledge; wealth can buy medicine, but not health.- pg 73 "Wisdom of the Seeker: Volume 1" by Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi
