The Chapter of Light: Exploring the meaning of Sura An Nur
As salaam'mu alaykum
We are pleased to announce the launch of The Chapter of Light course on the 22nd April 2006 in Birmingham.
For centuries great scholars, teachers and students have sought to explore the meanings of this chapter due to its importance to the human being in worshiping his Lord and its inherent divine education regarding the individual and the community as a whole.
This course will seek to bring the Chapter of Light to life by exploring the link between the name of the Surah itself and its subject matter. It will summarise its teachings and foundations and the powerful "verse of light"
itself and how it relates to the Surah at large.
The secrets and the incident of "hadithatul IFK" will be covered focusing on its significance in today's time and the many lessons that are ingrained within. The course will move on to illustrate the sacredness of the Muslim and his/her relationship and interaction within the family and with society as a whole.
The course will be delivered by Dr Muhammed Saad.
