View Full Version : My dream
There i am standing amongst a group of people, in what looks like a dessert, a bus is there, everyone is trying to get on this bus, sticking their hands out and what not, the people am standing next to are both men and women mixed, am standing on the side, wanting to get on the bus simply because everyone else does, yet not making it obvious lest am rejected, i have no idea why they want to get on the bus, in my mind, am saying pick me,
then the bus conductor says "u in the white hop on"
i move slowly but quickly the only person i recognise in the dream is my best friend hannah, as i get on she says "what about me? Quest dont leave me"
she seems to be holding in her arms what looks like a baby wrapped in garments. i asked the conductor to let her on he says
"this bus is not for her"
i replie "but its not full, please let her on" he repeats himself, i say "why am i on this bus?"
he replies "this bus is for those whose best of deeds was there love for ALLAH, your friend will be on the next bus, the bus of fasting"
before i speak he says "hold tight the destination is paradise"
then i woke up.
baffled, i didnt know what to think, i remembered "the bus of fasting" that made sense, because hannah fasts a lot. as for what he said about me, i thought i have a lot of work to do.
ever since then i was afraid to dream the opposite.

Sis you shouldnt tell anyone your dreams good or bad.
Always go to a shaykh if you want your dreams explained.

yeh mashaAllah sounds like a nice dream..
Remember good dreams are from Allah (swt)..
Bad dreams are from shaytaan..
And some dreams are from yourself..
Niqaabi really? i thought it was just bad dreams, thanks for the advice.

You know in surah yusuf.. when Yusuf (as) saw the good dream.. and his father Yaqub (as) said do not relate your dream to your brothers..
From there we derive that good dreams should only be related to those we love and trust..
yusra thats a good point. also i take it the intention behind that advice was knowing his brothers would be jealous, the dream should not be told?
am gonna edit my post.
shukran ladies

Hadrat Abu Hurairah RA narrates that the prophet saw said: As the hour draws closer towards Qiyamah, the dream of a Muslim will never be false. A Muslims dream is one of the forty-six parts of Prophet-hood (Whatever is from prophet hood can never be false) (Bukhari/Muslim)
The prophet saw said: If anyone of you sees a good dream , then it is from Allah. Thank Allah and relate the dream to pious people (So that it may be interpreted correctly). If he sees a bad dream, then this is from shaytaan. Therefore he should seek refuge with Allah from the evil of shaytaan, and not mention it to anybody, for it will not harm him. (Bukhari/Muslim)
The Prophet saw said: The most genuine dreams are seen just before dawn (the time of sehri) (Tirmizi)
note:A true dream will manifest itself according to the first interpretation given for it. Hence, one should be careful about whom one narrates the dream to. It should be narrated to a pious learned person who would be able to interpret it correctly.
PS ^^ tht last bit is very true..i once narrated a bad dream to sum1 who was pious but not learned in the field of dreams, and then approached a scholar and told him i had, had it interpreted and he flipped and told me to seek refuge in Allah..and aye the dream did come true as the scholar had then feared :(
