View Full Version : why allow all the hatred?

I would like to humbly thank everybody that has taken the time and replied to my earlier postings.
I have spent the last few days reading about the prophets pbut, the qu'ran and reading posts on this website.

My question is, why do the moderators allow posts which insight hatred and anger to be put on this website? From my own perspective I cannot believe that God would forgive anybody who murders innocent people. Surely by inciting hatred and murdering innocent people we are undermining the very priciples of God himself.
Surely if God was not happy with certain people he would take care of it himself? If you do not believe he could, surely you must question your faith in the almighty.

Please except my apologies if my questions offend anyone. They are just my opinion. But I am anxious to hear your views so that I may be enlightened by your wisdom.
Many years ago, I would not have been able to listen to your replies, as like many other people, I already had my own opinion and very little could have changed my point of view because of my lack of control over my own ego.
Fortunately, through gods influence, reading books and meeting more enlightened individuals than myself, I like to think that I have grown as a human being and have developed a personality that not only listens to what others have to say but also allows me to take their ideas onboard and change my own opinions.
We are no longer sheep that blindly follow the misguided bleetings of others, God has given us all a heart that truly knows the difference between right and wrong, He has given us the ability to reason, the freedom of choice to listen and the ability to change for the better.

I had decided not to ask anymore questions until I have read more about Islam, however one thing about this website puzzles me and that is, why do the moderators allow extremists that incite hatred or would commit harm even to their own brothers, to put posts on this site. A muslim friend of mine told me that we must first get to know ourselves, what it really means to be human and of God. Through this awareness I am learning to recognise emotions that develop within me before I act on them, eg anger or hatred. Quite often our emotional responses to situations may be programmed into us from the way we used to beheve. Through prayer and self awareness we are able to stop ourselves from getting sucked into temptation by others who may be trying to lead us astray by making us feel angry or sad etc about situations.
Please excuse me for ranting on. I thoroughly comply with defending ones life, way of life or country, but to mercilessly murder innocent people is the biggest sin there is and anybody doing this who has been told that they will be saved on the day of judgement, will be in for a big surprise.

Forgive me once more, my post was to be one of gratitude.

I have already begun to feel part of the fellowship and brotherhood that is Islam and the feeling is quite special. Thanks to your thought provoking posts and the help of God, despite having a fridge full of beer, I have not had a single drink all week. And the strange thing is I haven't even fancied one!

I am now going away for a week and will be taking four small introductory books about Islam and the prophets saw with me.

Thanks again for all of your help, I hope your lives are blessed with harmony, peace and understanding...

I am also new and surprised to see such hostility. However, I do appreciate the open atmosphere and freedom of expression allowed.

Depends how you look at it to be honest with you. At the end of the day no one can really control what a person believes in or has opinion about - if we just shut people off then we kinda denying the fact that such people exist with certain views then that board would be pretty boring no? We quite laxed about freedome of speech on this board as long as it dont stoop down to a personal level or slanderous.
At the end of the day such people exist with their views - although we dont agree with what people say (the mods) we do still provide leeway for people to air their views..bit difficult to explain - allowing people with such views does not mean that we condone what they say - think of it more or less allowing freedom of expression on this board if you know what i mean - at the end of the day its prolly important to know people exist with views of hate - shunning /shutting them off will not remove the problem it will always remain, but this board allows others to interact with people with differing views which is the beauty of Discussion

things we dont condone are personal insults and blasphemy

hope this makes clear - in no way are the mods saying just because we allow such views we condone them cos we dont!

i think alot of people onhere speak out of anger, on wat is happening to innocent muslims all over the world, no, this does not condone some peoples behaviour but u should just take it with a pinch of salt.

I mean in my case, in regards to suicide bombers im on the fence, im not gonna say they are right or wrong, becos im not their, living their lives, i am not their under wat circumstances they do what they do and last and MOST importantly i do not know what is their hearts i.e. their true intention when doing this, only allah swt does, so i will let him judge, because of this alot of non-muslims on here accuse me of agreeing with suicide bombers, and agreeing to the killing of innocents, and yet this is not the case.

P.s. but it is fine for them to side with coalition troops , who are their killing, raping torturing, innocent children, men and women, that is not considered extremist.

anyways enuff of me going on, like i said, alot of non-muslims dont take the time to understand posts, (yes some are total rubbish) and already have their set views when they come here, subhanallah at your guidance, may allah swt make it easy on u Ameen

Also, a lot of Muslims have set views and are unwilling to engage in respectful dialogue with non-Muslims. It works both ways, and is a shame.

What you fail to realise is tht the muslims on here who fail to engage in a respectful dialogue and let their emotions get the better of them are usually teenagers. Also, what tends to irritate some Muslims on here is, non-muslims come here condemning murder of innocent ppl but when the issue of Chechnya, Palestine etc is raised they shrug it off and continue to want to raise issues of ppl in the middle east carrying out suicide bombings. If you want a respectful dialogue..Alhamdulillah..but when evil is exposed from those backed by the US ie Israel then dont turn a blind eye.

We are 'tolerant Muslims' here on Ummah.com so we 'allow all the hatred' as you put it to prevail :alhumdull rather than curtailing the 'freedom of speach'.

We believe one should teach, preach, and actively engage in 'Political Jihad' to express dawah and nasihah.
