Shoes come in pairs
As do people, too
And so I wish you luck
To find your other shoe.
Hope he’s not a loafer
Beware the callous heel
Dirty laces can be washed
But make sure the leather’s real.
Don’t bother with expensive
And make sure there’s no catch
Your shoe’s a mirror of you
So make sure that you match.
Don’t bother with a sale
Don’t settle for things cheap
Make sure the fit is comfy
So that this one’s a keep.
Don’t try on other sizes
Who knows, you may get fungus
The stinky and diseased
Are hiding now, among us.
Before you take them home
Be sure they do not pinch
They must be the right size
And cannot crush or cinch.
