Do as i do, list the things that bother u most here i would love to see what we have in common, and what annoys people that some of us actually do with realising, people of all faiths wlc
Quests List
*I am useless when it comes to technology, i swear if i am alone and cant find the remote i panic, my 8 year old cuz has to work it
* I cant stand inconsiderate folks, i mean u be reading a book for example say ur on page 134 and someone reads like a page when u came to visit them, they end up liking the book and they be like oh leave it for me Q!! what the?
* how about folks whom ask u for something and though they see u hesitate they still persist, for real that is a major put off for me, as if thats bad enough when u say NO a few times, they try ask another day thinking ur mood changed, this time ur left perplexed not knowing what to say so u say No in the sense that u show them why, and then they respond oh its cool Q if u can do it for me its cool if not its ok, is that not emotional munipilation of some sort or what?
*people whom are suppose to do a certain something for a living but dont do it well, now that just ****es me off, if ur gonna do something give it ur all, ur work represents u thats all i say. an example is the dude whose painting my house, either he slacked off or thats how he really paints, i am the type to say excuse me am not happy with that do it again, they get annoyed with me, for stating the obvious yet they are happy to take my money?
* Those that ask you how much money u have, why ask? ask for what u need the rest doesnt concern u, or when they ask how much u have in your bank! seriously this annoys me
* people who eat my food, first of all u be like hey do u want a sandwich they say no, so u buy a juicy prawn and mayo one, then they be like can i take a bite that bite is 3 combined. it seriously ****es me off, thats one thing joey from friends and i have in common, LEAVE MY FOOD ALONE FOLKS, i put a certain portion on my plate and that portion is to satisfy my hunger lol (no am not over weight slim folks love food to)
*people who use hardcore slang thinking they are the ish, please step
* guests whom think they have the magic stick in ur own house, they better check and humble themselves
* Muslims whom are to concerned about what size the miswak should be, or the color of hijab of a certain sister etc when we have bigger issues to focus on.
the last one on my list for now has to be
*some folks who abide by every rule in the book, not realiasing that some rules are just there for show, if u break them it makes no difference on ur jobs, what so ever, yet they persist in following them just to **** u off. an example is, the bus driver has to pick folks up at the bus stop, the bus moved a few inches (the tail of the bus is still at the actual bus stop) upon moving the bus gets stuck in traffic, its a cold night raining and u knock they ignore u because u was not at the bus stop!

When you rely on someone, when you ask something of someone...and they let you down......really bothers me, even if it be a little thing.....
Although, people will always do that so theres no point moaning about it......Just have to remember that Allah (swt) never lets you down, or breaks His (swt)'s promises....

My list...
*mouthy teenage girls who will give it a load of mouth to anyone, even women/men twice their age..yeh but no but.. well i was just... i didnt do nuffin....
* people who dont bring their children up right, who dont watch them in shops etc.. they allow them to do whatever coz they just dont care.
* people who are in a position or very slight power who get all high and mighty, eg doctors receptionist"well you are 5 mins late..."
Librarians " we cannot order those kind of books here..."
all said in a snotty i am better than u voice....
*people who smell bad, there is NO excuse for bad hygene.
* the new slang words, like "I've got bare food" what exactly?? you eating honey and stolen picnics? or you have no food at all, in which case share mine...
thats all i can think of at the moment....

This is something that bothers me more then I can express.. it bothers me ALOT..
Imagine a hypothetical situation..
You work in Boots and your carrying out a customer transaction..
Now as a matter of routine and simply because IT NEEDS TO BE DONE you ask 'Do you have your boots advantage card'.. and the customer looks at you in dismay and says 'No, Im really sorry I havent'... :eek:
For those who dnt knw this card means the customer gets points which they can use to buy a product so its for THEIR BENEFIT.. which is why I just cannot understand why they apologise when it is not the staff who is at lost.. ITS THEM.. I mean if they dnt have a card hurray saves time for the assistant..

When people breath really heavily...and you can hear it a mile away..on the tube/bus whatever....I dont care if you got a cold......and its even worse when they are ill and they are sneezing and firing their germs all over the show....I always have to move.....:mad: ....

but for me my #1 irritation would be when people do not knock before entering a room, or even if your door is open, wandering in and making urself comfy on my bed etc is just not on. People should always always knock!
Right now that really gets me angry :mad:
The qibla in my room is actually towards my room, and anna you've seen my room, its a box and i only have this small part to do my salah.
And for some reason everyone loves me and my room and always want to be with me in my room :rolleyes: so while im doing salah they come in and are right in front of me and to make it worse they go "opps, sorry Niqaabi" putting me off my salah.
Sooooo many times iv told my sisters but they keep forgetting, its cos my room has the playstation and tv etc and dvd its more like a mini lounge so they kinda feel free to walk in.
And i know people, why not lock the door? Well if i do that, and my parents knock on the door and i dont answer cos im in salah they think im upset with them and they feel :( or my sisters will bang on the door "NIQAABI! assalaamualaykum niqaabi, i had the same problem except that my sis kept locking herself in my bedroom (???) (which had some priceless gear in it including gym). Having said that i dont mind parents entering and walking around freely providing they are not snooping around my stuff which is what i do.

Sometimes what really bothers me is...i like to just sit and meditate bout akirah and stuff like tht..personally i find tht powerful..but like the fact tht one day we all will face Allah and our deeds will be weighed on the scale but yet i still live my life like an odd bodd :(

-when someone from my family doesnt wake up for fajr...u have to literally stand there over their heads ...screaming "wake up":torture:
-when teenagers are in groups(w/ friends) and they tend to pass rude comments to almost everyone who passes by them....stupid kids!
- i don't like customers who have bad breath....its quite the jihad for me to stand there and listen to them. BRUSH UR TEETH PPL!!...IT'S GONNA KILL ME ONE DAY!:(

especially the teenage school kids one...they are just little evil gremlins... They have never have said anything to me alhumdullilah, but Ive seen them harrass other people on the tube/bus, shoating and talking at the back of the bus, dosing on street corners...gets on my nerves

When I have my pen in my hand whilst doing some work, and two seconds later its dissapeared in to thin air....and then Im searching for it like a maniac for a good 10 minutes....and its only under a piece of paper :S

when somali men decide to talk and make a conversation with you just because you share the same origin
when people on the bus basically invade your space, squashing you so much your practically paralysed
when people stink of sweat, i mean how hard is to use deodrant?
sweets that have gelatine in them!!! i mean if they just used a different gelling agent you would be making more money!
people that stare and continue too,even when you look at them
people with long finger nails especially when they are dirty, that is just minging!
when you cant find something and you only seem to find it when you dont need it!
thats all i can think of right now!

i couldnt stop laughing at this one, i know exactly what you mean, it happens to me all the time, bus stops (major reason as to why getting a car is on top of my 2 do list) it happens to me everywhere.
to make matters worse, my somali is so muddled up, waqooys get annoyed when i speak with a southern dialect, xamaris get annoyed when i use the waqooy.
i dont mind the salam, but when they start asking me where i live or if am local or what tribe i am or whose my daddy i get irritated.

:D hehe i like that idea and have thought of that, but seeing as my sisters are blind and forget easily i think they wouldnt notice it.
And the playstation thing wont work, im the middle child, so the big one will be like "yeah wateva move i wana play" and the little one ill feel sorry for and just be like "no playstation for you missy... oh no dont look like that... ok fine 5 mins" *2 hours later lil one is still playing*
EDIT: my sisters arent really blind, im just exaggerating so dont feel sorry for them :p

I strongly dislike people shouting near me,even if the argument has nothing to do with me and I don't know the people shouting...
I find it very annoying...(there is usually no need to shout)
Smelly feet really bother me...
It takes about two seconds to wash your feet(ok,maybe a little longer if they are stinkin),There's no excuse...
People that swear...When do you have the excuse to use a swear word...
ONLY WHEN YOUR VOCABULARY IS SO LIMITED THAT YOU CAN'T EXPRESS YOUR SELF WITHOUT SAYING...How good was it?..."It was F'in Brilliant",
How big was it?...."It was F'in BIG"...
LEARN SOME OTHER VOCABULARY...(read a thesaraus if need be)
I confess I used to really dislike the use of slang especially on the internet and in text messages...(mainly cos I figured that it lead to bad spelling and poor use of grammar)...
But someone *smiles*...changed my opinion...
Slang is ok in txt and online as long as you don't write essays in "slangified" txt...lol...

YAT = girl
Blood
bare this and bare that (i think someone already mentioned this one)
Na'mean (though i use that some times havent shaken that one of yet but i get annoyed when certain people say it and it looks as though they are trying to hard)
Mandem (group of fellas)
Galdem (group of girls)
wagwan *ITS whagwan* (either way cant stand it)
oh and all that snoop dogg vocab fo shizzle my izzle nizzle (what ever the heck that means)
to much ebonics is annoying
oh this one at times i find hilarious and sometimes straight irratating
the majority of somalis and arabs have trouble pronouncing the letter P
this is due to our alphabets i know somalis dont have a P in their alphabets and am not 100% sure but neither do arabs
so they subsitute the P with a B

oh this one at times i find hilarious and sometimes straight irratating
the majority of somalis and arabs have trouble pronouncing the letter P
this is due to our alphabets i know somalis dont have a P in their alphabets and am not 100% sure but neither do arabs
so they subsitute the P with a B

hmmm things that bother me...
I strongly dislike people shouting near me,even if the argument has nothing to do with me and I don't know the people shouting...
I find it very annoying...(there is usually no need to shout)
Smelly feet really bother me...
It takes about two seconds to wash your feet(ok,maybe a little longer if they are stinkin),There's no excuse...
People that swear...When do you have the excuse to use a swear word...
ONLY WHEN YOUR VOCABULARY IS SO LIMITED THAT YOU CAN'T EXPRESS YOUR SELF WITHOUT SAYING...How good was it?..."It was F'in Brilliant",
How big was it?...."It was F'in BIG"...
LEARN SOME OTHER VOCABULARY...(read a thesaraus if need be)
I confess I used to really dislike the use of slang especially on the internet and in text messages...(mainly cos I figured that it lead to bad spelling and poor use of grammar)...
But someone *smiles*...changed my opinion...
Slang is ok in txt and online as long as you don't write essays in "slangified" txt...lol...

..actually :rolleyes: there are two different letters in the Bangali/Bangla dialect which sound VERY different ..'fo' and the 'po' ...so poeple who speak Bangla, [not sylheti] will prounouce the word Pakistan, as PAkistan not FAkistan as the word is also spelt with the 'po' when written .
the 'po' can be compared to the Urdu 'pey' and the 'fo' can be compared to the Urdu 'fey'..:p
Just to make it clear, and easier to understand its the 'Sylheti' Bangladeshi's who call Pakistan FAkistan ..so , Akhi its best to be specific as not all Bangladeshi's do so! :D

yes, non native speakers of english and their reading or pronouncing thereof.
Filipinos replace the P for the F, they call themselves pilipinos..;)
Colombians use the J instead of the Y eg Are Ju coming with me to New Jork? ;)
The irish have a distinct aversion to 'th' in english as do the moroccans to 'Tha' in arabic!
The spanish like to put an 'e' in front of words begining with 'st'
None of this annoys me but i thought you were all going down that road.. so i thought i might give you all a few examples.
