Raising of the hands before rukuh

not raising the hand before rukuh

I have been praying with rafayadin for about a year now, at the begining I got told off by mum she said 'thats not how to pray' then I explained it to her, that Prophet (saw) prayed like this, then 1 day I showed her a video.

I had a friend around today, and we got talking about this. We was saying, if we were back home (Bangladesh) and were praying in the l,ocal Masjid, people would give us looks and ask us why we pray like this.

I just wanted to know how many people on Ummah pray like this.

Salam,

Choose a mathhab, learn it and follow it. That way u dont go wrong. DIY mujtahid business will inevitably be wrong...

yup there is hadiths saying he (saw) raised his hands before ruku and others which say he raised his hands only once at the begining of salah.

u put ur left foot in, in out, in out and shake it all about, u do the hokey pokey and u turn around thats what its all about

I face towards the Qibla, make my niyyah, and then pray. :)

And then I make du'a for myself and for all my muslim brothers and sisters, that we may all see beyond these artificial divisions to see that we are muslims first and foremost. Whether we raise our hands before rukuh or not (just for the record, I don't); that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things does it?

ooooookey kokey kokey

Anna is hanafi and iv seen her raise her hands before going to ruku  hmmm

Yup Slaveofmajid, i think you were right, you go back home to bangladesh and you pray how you're praying then look at you as if you're mocking the salah :(
I dont follow a particular madhhab, i raise my hands because iv read it is more liked then not raising the hands. But like hayaa said, both are from the sunnah.

Maybe she had taken that from a diff madhab like Imam Shafi
