Aslaam Alaikum.
I would be very grateful for your help and guidance. I have recently been woken up to my faith having been sleep walking for most of my adult life. Like alot of second/third generation Muslims in the UK, the Islamic education I got was from my parents which was mostly, repeat in parrot fashion with little understanding of what it all meant. But thats beside the point now. I learned to read the Quran when I was young but I have hardly read it again since then and subsequently my Arabic is now a little rusty although thank God it hasn't gone completely. I want to return to reading it but obviously I don't want to read anything incorrectly. Please can you tell me how I should go about correcting my reading skills. I know the Quran is available on CD but my experience is that its read obviously by someone who is very experienced and knowledgeable and the way in which they read it is not always beneficial to someone like me who perhaps needs word by word guidance or at least a slower and clearer recitation of the words. Maybe I need to start back with the basics, I don't know?
Thank you in anticipation
