View Full Version : another post on temptation and marriage
This is another post on advice on marriage, or any wise tips to hold marriage back long enough. I am nearing marriageable age now and would like to get married soon. Unfortunately I cannot get married for atleast the next two years as I have wasted some of the earlier years of my life. This means that I wont be able to be in a decent position financially for some time. I also find it hard to trust people partly because I had witnessed instances of adultery in my family and I have seen how my friends would change their boyfriends/girlfriends over time. Also, I am in college now and though I get approached I say no but it is very hard for me as some of the women are very good people but also because I have been approached by a homosexual person and that was unnerving for me. There is no way I could get married because I am still a student, and my family would not accept it if I do not marry the type of girl they want anyway. I already do not talk much to people more than is necessary without seeming to appear rude, but at times I think it is not enough. So if anyone has any good ideas on not giving into temptation but also have a solution for the marriage problem, please share your thoughts.

Bro inshaAllah complete ur studies and once u feel ur financially stabe inshaAllah look for a pious Muslimah and get married. Until then inshAllah if temptations get too much for resort to the advise of Nabi saw..which is too fast...starve ur nafs. Also keep ur mind busy and keep urself busy in ur studies, effort of deen and other activities..maybe joing a gym or something. Also u r the company u keep. Hadith of Nabi saw "A person is upon the deen of his freind, so let one of you look to whom he keeps as a freind" (Abu Dawood) so bro if ur crew is all like the type to go mess around with girls and tht then limit ur company around them and most of Allah keep making dua to Allah to protect u from the fitnahs out there.

 Control your emotions and you can go a long way; who needs girlfriends when you have the GREAT ALLAH to guide you. If your friends are flirting then let them flirt all they want, they will reap what they sow. Just keep thinking that if you the have patience to wait and complete your studies. The Great ALLAH will give you a treasure for your wait and patience. Many who cannot wait gets a bronze coin while those who wait gets a sack full of gold coins. ; And remember only ALLAH can reward ppl enough to hearts content.. A simple advice on the light note...I believe your parents will only think of your well-being, so listen to them too:) .
