If any of you have GForce graphics cards (the defacto standard for computer 3D graphics), check out this. (if you dont, *SEE BELOW.....)
EarthView, get it at www.nvidia.com. It is a product of the endeavor to map the entire globe down to 1M resolution (1M^2 objects viewable).
If you are living in many major metropolitan areas where the maps are complete, you can see individual vehicles on the highways. Can you find your house?
Kandahar, Kabul, and other areas of Afgahnistan are rendered to the screen at high resolution. Unfortunately, many parts of the country are kind of blurry. We got good pics of N. Korea. Of course, much of the USA is mapped down to 1M. Spooky...
