salam this is not my own poem. im not capable of doing something like this. :( but nice poem
Two voices inside me
One good, one bad
Two voices inside me
What's the difference between the two?
One will make me happy,
The other will make me sad
Two voices inside me
Which one should I choose?
As I walked to my bedside
A voice gently said: wake up for fajr and glorify your Lord.
I set my alarm for fajr and then went to sleep.
A few minutes passed, then the alarm went off.
I awoke and remembered my fajr
and to glorify my Lord
But then a voice whispered:
sleep! Sleep! The night is long
I lay in my bed, listening to the two voices
Two voices inside me
One good, one bad
Two voices inside me
What's the difference between the two?
One will make me happy,
The other will make me sad
Two voices inside me
Which one should I choose?
As I went to the masjid I prayed two rakaa's
After the masjid I would buy a gold set
I looked in my poket, I found twenty-pounds
Oh no! I though I'm six-pounds short
I looked around and noticed a box,
it was labelled `charity box'
A voice strongly whispered:
take the six-pounds from the charity box!
No-one will notice
Another voice gently said: *
**
*Allaah is watching you from above, *
**
*leave the gold set- it's a worldly thing, *
**
*give the twenty-pounds in charity instead, *
**
*you're reward is with Allaah in the next abode.
Two voices inside me
One good, one bad
Two voices inside me
What's the difference between the two?
One will make me happy,
The other will make me sad
Two voices inside me
Which one should I choose?
I had tidied the kitchen, and finished my homework
I sat on the settee with nothing to do, my free-time had come
What could I do?
A voice slowly whispered: *
**
*watch the TV everyone's watching it, **you're left out.
Another voice gently said: *
**
*read the Qur'an, you'll earn some reward,
leave the TV, it's a waste of time, you see it's a worldly thing.
Two voices inside me
One good, one bad
Two voices inside me
What's the difference between the two?
One will make me happy,
The other will make me sad
Two voices inside me
Which one should I choose?
At the end of the day before going to sleep
I asked myself: what did I do today?
I woke up for fajr and glorified my Lord
I went to the masjid and gave some charity
I read the Qur'an and didn't waste my time
I kept away from the worldly things
I learnt that inside me I had two voices, I
learnt what was the difference from the two.
One always whispered to me evil things- *
**
*and that was the whisperings of the shaytaan
The other voice always gently spoke- and that was
the Angel reminding me to do good
All praise be to Allaah, I chose the voice of the Angel
All praise be to Allaah, it made me happy
All praise be to Allaah I had beaten shaytaan
All praise be to Allaah I had been guided
May Allaah guide me and guide you, *
**
*and help us to choose the right path, *
**
*and to forbid the evil whisperings of the shaytaan. *

*Lets We Prepare for Tomorrow Before it Late.*
*It was late in the afternoon - the year was 2002 during the first semester
of my first year at University and the place was an empty prayer whos only
occupants were Aslam and myself.*
*We sat with a copy of the Qur`aan, reciting to one another. At the time I
was struggling to memorise Surah Al-Fajr (89), so I requested thast she
translate each ayah for me [as she can speak Arabic] as I recited.
When we reached ayah number 21 and the aayaat proceeding it, I was in tears.
they read:*
*"Nay! When the earth is ground to powder.
And you Lord comes with the angels in rows.
And Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but
how will that remembrance avail him?
He size=3>The righteous salaf were as fearful of their good deeds being squandered, or
not being accepted, as the present generation is certain that their neglect
would be forgiven. [Hasan Al-Basri]
