I was just curious would you say your a planner:

Qadr is the most important thing I’ve learnt though seeking advice from Yusuf Estes who told us that its not freewill but free choice… Qadr (fate) is written by Allah (swt), but we still do have ‘Free choice’ not freewill… My future though planned by me (my personal preferences) I understand my dreams will change due to Qadr and free choice (Allah (swt) is the best of planners) but at least I have a rough guide about what I plan to achieve and where.

Do you plan things like interviews, the future, events, etc...

This poll excludes the fact that you rely on Allah (swt), if you misunderstand i mean apart from relying on Allah (swt) as many of you will state, do you or would you plan ahead for things such as interviews, event or conferences, things that are important... or just see how each day goes by...

Why am I asking ... well I have a mate who never plans and everytime he has to go work, interviews, etc he always does everythign last minute and most cases hes either late, unorganised or just plain cant be bothered whereas me I'm always well planned though i pray to Allah (swt) also I always plan and to this day I've never had a debt only been late a few times and never had issues of not planning...

What do you think is it worth planning? Do you plan and why? Or do you leave everything to Allah (swt) and just sit there hoping for the best...!

I hope I didnt misunderstand you guys ... as I always do!?

PLEASE VOTE and then explain

Quadr is fundamental part of our aqeeda.

for us, Obviously planning ahead is the way. But to have long hopes is also wrong. SO we make dwa for the best and for Allah's blessing.

We dont know the Quadr of Allah swt. It only shows itself when an event or process begins. We dont know the future, but for Allah the future the past and present have already occured. Yet, Allah has given us intellects and abilities to think about things in such a way that we can benefit or harm ourselves in the future. And he KNOWS all this becuse it is already written. But we dont know, so we plan many things in our life to get to the end goal . Sometimes we dont even know we are planning... e.g. planning tohave a cup of tea, planning to say our Salaat, planning to wake up for fajr.. all the little things . Or e.g you plan to write an answer to an exam question, so that your question will be properly structured and sensible, this helps you get a good result.

Anyway dont think about Qadr brav...

we should still plan. the example for this is in the hijrah, how much detail plans and organisation they had for this trip. But we must realise that Allah is more powerful than us n can change the plans... but doesnt mean we dnt plan stuff

we have to plan but Allah is the greatest planners of all...but he has said to us try and he will help.

If we sit there and do nothing then we are not helping ourselves in return how will Allah help us.
