I find it amusing frankly that the people worried about the collapse of the middle east / palestine economy is the west .. (EU / America / Israel ) but no Muslim state has come forward in a major way to help ... I wonder why ?

The Buddha statues which have been held dear by my ancestors were destroyed.. we as Buddhist have no hate .. but find it very sad that such a object of faith could be destroyed with such a silence from the muslim world. could not the imams of all the major mosques accrose the world proclaim the fatwas to stop it..

I do not hate you but I do not like you guys either.

Taliban spurn Islamic scholars
Arrogant zealots rebuff the pleas of the 55-nation Organization of Islamic Conference not to destroy Afghanistan's pre-Islamic heritage

I don’t know if you are aware but Muslims ruled India for nearly a thousand years and there are still thousands of idols there. The thing with the statues is that for the taliban-- since there weren’t any Buddhist living in Afghanistan they weren’t breaking the law of Islam of protecting minority’s religious rights.

:I Its interesting you say that.
There is an ayah in the quran that says (pharapased) do not insult the gods of non-muslims because they might do greater evil in return by insulting your religion.
