Hello!
A very special friend of mine and I are learning Arabic, and I have a wonderful poem I'd like help translating so that I can give it to him and see if he can decode it. :-D The poem is:
"THANK YOU FRIEND
Thank you for being a friend,
for being there for days on end.
Thank you for finding the laughter through my tears,
for helping me to conquer any of my fears.
Thank you for the kind words and smiles,
for the hugs I can feel across the many miles.
Thank you for making me see when I am wrong,
for telling me I don't always have to be strong.
Thank you for the good times we've had,
for being there with me through the good and bad.
Thank you for knocking me off my stool,
for letting me know when I've been a fool.
Thank you for the love you have shown,
for showing me what I may have never known.
Thank you for sharing your time with me,
for being a friend no other can be.
Thank you........"
I would rather have the meaning be conveyed than the rhyming, so I realize that in Arabic, it most likely won't rhyme, but I'd really like it in written form. I have a friend who has helped me in learning Arabic, but she only speaks Arabic and cannot write it. I realize you cannot post in Arabic on this forum (it shows up as ????), so if you translate it, you could attatch a Word file on the forum, or e-mail it (or the attatchment) to me at schouser@davidson.edu
Thanks in advance for helping, I'm sure he'll find it very special!:inlove:
