Fundamentals of being a Muslim

If you truely accept and belief that there is no other God than Allah, and Mohammed. Follow Islamic law and follow the pillars of Islam.

Obviously, there's a lot more to learn than just that, but is that the fundamentals of being a Muslim?

besides believing in Allah And Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam there are a lot of more things that you must believe in in order to be muslim.

you must believe in Allah and the Malaaikah and the Quran And His Rasools And The Day Of Qiyaamah and that all good and bad is from Allah and the life after death.

and besides that there are still quite a lot of things that you must believe in in order to be a muslim.

Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam means peace be upon him.

Malaaikah means angels.

Rasools means Messengers.

The Day Of Qiyaamah means The Day Of Judgement.

Testification of faith - Firm Belief in the Shahadah - la illaha illall ah hu muhammadur rasoolullah
Prayer
Charity
Fasting
HajjOther things

To believe in the prophets before Muhammad S.A.W
To believe in the Angels
To believe in the books, Thorah, Bible, Injeel
To believe in the day of Judgement
To accept the Quran as the Word of Allah S.W.T
Preaching Islam in a peaceful manner
To fight for peace and justice and to help those who have been wronged
Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet S.A.W
Not to Innovate on Religion i.e. make up things and claim it to be Islam
Be Truthful at all times - our prophet S.A.W was known by the non muslims before the Quran was revealed to hims as the Al Amin - The truthful - this is how our characters must be
Never Associate Partners to Allah
We cannot denounce an ayat from the Quran if we do not like what it says as it is a message from Allah and it is binding upon all of mankind.
We must Always seek help from Allah S.W.T at our time of need - It is Allah who gives the medicine we use the ability for it to remove an Illness - If Allah wishes that a person cannot be healed then no medicine will work - even if it is the best and most expensive in the world. We must have faith that Allah will give it the ability to work as Allah has the cure to ALL illnesses
Keep faith in Allah
Worship No Man - Or pray to Muhammad - he was only human muslims can only pray to Allah. If we pray to muhammad s.a.w we would be commiting shirk by associating partners to god and this would make you a non muslim - it is a very serious thing to avoid. Allah is one and there is none like himThere are many other things i hope this helps akhie. :)
