I once heard in a lecture that the Day Of Judgement has a name called by each letter of the alphabet. ًWe all know words of great meaning or significance have more then one name. Here's what I have so far, feel free to fill in the blanks, i would appreciate it.

Names of Makkah

1 - Bakkah ... meaning it brings 'Buka' [crying/weeping] to the tyrants and arrogant, meaning they cry and become humble in its vicinity. It was also said that Makkah was called Bakkah because people do buka next to it, meaning they gather around it.

2 - Al-Bayt Al-'Atiq [The Ancient House]

3 - Al-Bayt Al-Haram [The Sacred House]

4 - Al-Balad Al-Amin [The City Of Safety]

5 - Al-Ma'mum [Security]

6 - Umm Rahm [Mother Of Mercy]

7 - Umm Al-Qura [Mother Of The Towns]

8 - Salah and others.
