Asides from the above; I can speak Urdu, Punjabi, French, and English, all fluently, and I'm working on Arabic at the moment - only 10 weeks/30 hours of tuition in so far. Inshallah, I'll become fluent in this by next year.

but normal I Found some people they learn urdu very easily without any trouble..
because it's my personel experence in Saudi. When I came here my friend tehy dont known urdu but after some they slow start speaking urdu..

Even I did'nt get anygood experience with gujarati people. Because one of my friend he is from gujrat. & he worrked with me almost 2 years and after he go back to India. he even never send me A single E-mail.I think this gujrati people are selfish..

dang... i got this psycho goal... i wanna learn like a thousand languages...
i already know spanish, english, arabic(needs improvement), urdu(needs improvement), since i can speak spanish and english, i can read most french(and i wanna learn to speak it), i can 'speak' some american sign language, i wanna learn to read braille, i wanna go to school in malaysia inshallah(IIUM), so i wanna learn malay, i wanna learn mandarin, and i wanna learn hebrew... so whats that? like 10 languages... it sounds kinda crazy... and since i only have the willpower to learn arabic, that will probably be my 3rd language and i want it to be the language my kids speak inshallah... knowing my community(everyone's desi) i'll probably learn urdu as my 4th language(unless i actually attempt to learn something else in between then...)

is it just me or has ummah changed?
there used to be discussions that took place which had meaning and purpose. we could learn from each other, its not that there aren't any beneficial sections anymore but
now it seems like a place where people are either making more work for the mods, posting up stupid threads, about stupid things or simply wasting there time indulging in fitnah! either participating in idol chit chat or just cussing each other as it seems fun!!
I mean there non muslims that come on here what are they going to think of the comments that are made against your muslim sister or brother in islam? maybe you both know your joking but would a person who takes the literal meaning of your jokes to each other understand them as that too?
its nice to have a laugh sometimes, and jokes are not forbidden in islam. but there's limits to everything and some are transgressing these limits.
