Warning System Installed

The moderators announce that they have installed a Warning System. An ordinary member is unable to comment on the system within the thread submitted, so I do it here.

No opinion on the system itself, but I think members should know how the warnings are made. Are they based on the decision of some moderators' committee, on the opinion of one single moderator or what? Who controls that the decision is made in pursuance of the rules and regulations?

Sorry this is from a thread I made a few secs before this thread appeard...
Will people's warning level be displayed so other members can see it? I think it should so people don't over react on a bad poster when they know chances they will be banned soon since their warning points are high... I've been to other forums where only the mods can see them and they are okay but if I made a mistake I would like to know weather or not I'm bordering on being banned, because I like this forum so much I think it would be perfect to be able to see your warning level if not everyone's :up:

Also this brother/ sister 'moderators' whom actually posted that thread is he or she an actual Mod or Admin? I do nto believe we members of Ummah.com have as yet been formally introduced to this illusive figure.

If so they are legit whom is it?

Or it it an account representing the ijmaa' of the Mod/ Admin team of Ummah.com? If so whom actually posts using that account or do you all get together in one room infornt of one PC and all press the buttons altogether now?

Jezak'allah in advance for replying before that mysterious shadowy figure yet again tries to threaten me he/she will ban me.

I know really would like to buy them some crumpets and a bottle of Qibla Cola so they can calm down and not be soooo trigger happy.:)

Annoucements are usually read only in the forum thus normal users cannot reply to them, but sometimes we create a follow on Thread so users can give their feedback. Posting it here is fine.

We will be hoping to work on some sort of Criteria within the next few weeks or so on Warning Points and Offences and will publish it. We are only putting this Warning system on for a few weeks to trial it, if it goes well we will keep it, if not then we will seek an alternative.

Others peoples warning will not be made public for other users. Like i mentioned this is a trial to see how things will go it has very limited features for the time being.

Regarding This account, I am a moderator of this forum I decide to remain illusive for now
